re: Diving deeper on Standard Lithium?

Two things could turn this around quickly.
One is finishing the JV without which nothing else can move forward. To Lanxess the JV may be small potatoes, but right now to SLI it's most of their world.
Two is using the demo plant to continually produce battery grade lithium and be the third proof of concept.
In terms of hopeium, perhaps Mintak's two year's to commercial production projection was to ward off the sleazy lawyers who prey on any blown promise.

This crazy FOMO market the past two years had me thinking this thing was going to rocket so I held when I should have taken profits at 10$ and up.
I get significantly green again I am taking some off the table.
The other question is if this thing keeps sinking do I average down some or is it good $ after bad.

I've decided to sell enough to take back my original stake and play it out with the house's money.
If there is no JV, there won't be any commercial production. That's been dragging on for a long time. Haggling over details? Who knows.

Is this where we’re supposed to sell

If we can hold, this is a first signal for a bottom.

Man I've made that mistake before (with others) and it hurts.. But if you believe in the long term company goals, go for it.

I'll continue to buy as it drops. If it gets in the $3-4 range I'll make a large buy.
For me nothing much has changed with SLI.
-JV delayed
-Koch 100m investment.
I assume Koch knows more about SLI than all of us combined. IF they believe the value is currently 7.4+, thats good enough for me. Without their investment, my approach would be very different.

Did you ever meet with the PR rep and CEO?

For those that get bummed from the daily shrinking violet, here is a summary of the currently planned US battery plants along with their timeline that matches what has always been assumed for SLI:

Can we get general Lee to sell some more shares
Posted on 1/19/22 at 3:01 pm to el Gaucho
I think General selling was definitely our signal of capitulation.

Ready for that -12 tomorrow
Posted on 1/19/22 at 3:06 pm to Shepherd88
I called it! Haha y'all can thank me for the bottom... for now!
I still think if the broader markets crash and no JV anytime soon that the bottom is not in yet, but maybe this marks a near term bottom at least.

It was my last chunk of my shares, all out for now... Will try to rebuy in the $4ish range if S&P drops 15-20%.

We're already down ~4% from the S&P peak, probably another 10-15% left to go. Timing the markets is really tough, but a good strategy is to be bullish when Fed is expanding balance sheet and bearish when they are contracting it.

I bought a chunk of ORGN just now hoping the PR leads to a bump tomorrow so I can flip it for a small profit
