Yeah ORGN is on my watchlist for sure to add over the next few months (expecting market bottom in April-May timeframe). I don't think it'll get much movement until the O1 factory is complete in Q3-Q4 though. The warrants there (ORGNW) have gotten slaughtered recently, but may be a smoking hot buy at some point.

To be fair I don’t think most people thought the covid hysteria would last so long causing this level of supply chain issues and inflation. Most though it would be over after 2020 and things get back to normal. I think 2022 will be a correction year.

I’m finding there is money in the growth stocks to do quick flips even with an overall downward trend. Each time they hit a new low buy a chunk and flip it next day or 2 on the eventual dead cat bounce, it’s been consistently yielding 1-3% quick gains. Take advantage of people buying the new low to average down or get cheap long term shares that leads to green the next day

Not yet. Hopefully he doesn’t ghost me.

I've still got a nice stack. It was my buy that stopped the Blue Orca dive at $6.75. I think I have about 40,001 shares.

Thanks for the link to the PR release. I see some positives in the news:

• Purity > 99.83% is great news.
• Dr. Robinson is still expecting SLI to be the 1st new lithium project in the US
• Improvements to the bespoke sorbent.

I would like to hear more about the timeline to actual production, the status of the JV and plans for the other projects.

Well it’s about damn time. That was a very substantial update from them. I’ll have the read again when I’m not sitting on the toilet. Also I think Tim Ferris wrote this:

The Company’s LiSTR DLE process uses a bespoke, custom-formulated lithium-selective sorbent based on a titanate architecture.

It seems they will also be producing sorbent at a large scale. Maybe im late to the game but I never knew this. They are sounding more like a licensed technology company than a production company.

Lanxess makes a lot of ion exchange resins and sorbents. Maybe SLI didnt include them in the development process and thats the reason for delayed JV.

quote:

Since Q1 2021, Standard Lithium has been working with one of the world’s largest industrial material suppliers, with a specialization in ceramics and catalyst compounds, to optimize the performance of the sorbent, and to develop a scalable commercial manufacturing process in North America. This work has been successfully completed at various R&D facilities in North America and Europe and substantial improvements in the performance of the sorbent have been achieved. The next generation of the material will be produced using a full-scale commercial production process and is expected to arrive at the El Dorado, Arkansas Demonstration Plant during Q2 2022

I think this is the difference Koch brings. I feel they released this progress report due to the stock pressure. Previously they wouldn’t have said anything until earnings call on Feb 26th.

But this is what is needed.

+6% and heavy PM volume. Wouldn't be surprised if it gets to 7.4 today.

Could be wrong, but I don’t believe that Standard is manufacturing the sorbent. They simply worked to develop the next generation based on their process needs. Seems like it will still be manufactured by the company they are working with (a toll manufacturing agreement or similar) and simply consumed by SLI. When they said “expected to arrive at the El Dorado plant” I think they meant the product is expected to arrive for testing.

All in all, it’s good to get an update. We needed more transparency. Not sure this is a great update, though. It gives a definitive timeline which is useful. But that timeline, to be frank, kinda sucks. If they aren’t starting the FEED until mid/late Q2 that means JV probably isn’t happening til mid/late Q3 which means FID target is likely LATE ‘22, if it’s 2022 at all. This timeframe makes me think when Mintak said he was hoping for FID by second half ‘22, he was really hoping they could squeeze it in before the end of ‘22. Q3 totally off the table.

Curious to see how the market receives this. The transparency is nice, and might ease investors back off the ledge. The timeline, however, tells investors it’s okay to take a break and come back later. Aside from a surprise financing, I don’t see another PR until April.

Yeah isn't it like 6 months to do a DFS? And then I'm sure Lanxess will need a while to review the DFS before they finally make up their mind on the JV.
