re: Diving deeper on Standard Lithium?

The Press Release linked above is not at all what I was expecting (JV?). I had not heard any hints of a Carbon Capture project in the past. I'm providing a link to the Aqualung website that provides some information in case anyone else needs to get up to speed on this new project.

The Aqualung presentation sounds similar to Standard Lithium's process - Innovative, modular, scalable, efficient, hooks on to existing plant infrastructure.
I would like to hear information about Standard Lithium's funding commitment versus projected cost savings and/or potential tax credits to offset the costs.

Yeh this is certainly unexpected.
Not really sure how to interpret this one, going to have to read it a few times and also look at the CCUS I reckon.
More technology, maybe more opportunity. Certainly doesn’t seem like a needle mover off the cuff, but depending on what our financial obligation is, probably not a bad thing. Strengthens the “we are a tech company” message.
Looks like the market isn’t sure how to handle it either. Maybe it’s enough to stop the bleeding to the PEA.

I read it as a play to strengthen the ESG credentials even more and another potential income stream as the carbon credit markets mature over the next few years…

Pretty cringe
We dgaf about this soyboy carbon bs let’s get blasting rock and making lithium
Maybe one day lithium can be used for something cool like a cordless skilsaw instead of just lame stuff like electric cars

I’m reading it as something to do to fill the gap for the meantime. If that’s the case, things might take longer than we expected.

Like it or not it’s how the investment world works today, look at the Chevron/Bunge partnership on carbon reduced fuels for example. This is probably another chess piece to something like a Tesla partnership down the road….
I think man made climate change is BS, but the ship has sailed there as far as the investment world response to it, “true” or fake.

Disagree completely, they wouldn’t be fooling around with this if the Lanxess plants weren’t going up soon.

Press Release
The concept falls somewhere between trivial and silly, but it's pretty good PR because one of SLI's main attractions is that its process is clean and in extreme contrast to hard rock lithium mining. While it may be almost silly as a practical matter, it might attract more of the global warming set to stoke the fires.

What’s wrong with E*TRADE today? It has this weird color next to Sli that I’ve never seen before

Today’s announced pilot project builds on and aligns with the White House’s Carbon Capture, Utilization and Sequestration (CCUS) announcement on June 30, 2021, which seeks to develop and deploy CCUS technologies to improve industrial processes.
Sounds like they're just trying to keep the green nazis at bay.

This is so true. I also think that, being from Louisiana, we have a programmed bias for O&G. Any acknowledgement of alternative fuels as a possibility and therefore a wise investment throws many of these baws into an existential crisis.

I just wish there were based things to invest in instead of only cringe. What’s even worse is when you invest in cringe like lithium and it only goes down.

That's why I only invest in Phillip Morris.

Lake Resources drops a PR at least once a week. More often than not, it's about one of their guys speaking at a conference, or something minor like that.
I've got to believe that that little email and PR every week helps support the price when there's no real news.
No clue how important or relevant the one SLI released today, but maybe it helps hold our price up a few days, although the positive green message could be a real positive with some folks.
Sometimes I wonder if the SLI management really care about the price per share at the moment, so to me, this PR shows Something.

dont think share/price to them is an issue. Thinking maybe the project is "the force" and they are saying "may the force be with you".....all about the big picture, and this will be a series of series, and epic events....making myself smile with "rise of SLIwalker....
