Gonna be a hell of a dip at the open baw, hope you’re ready!

Dammit. I am at a recently new job and will be sitting with my boss most of today. It’s going to be really hard to keep an eye on this.
I’ve set a limit order at $6. No idea I’d it’ll field or not.

Infrastructure bill stalemate.
The good side of this is this stock has run up considerably just on news on the infrastructure bill. Once JV news and Tetra PEA comes out we should have some good fuel behind this.

Well, my doge is doing well at least. They better drop some press today or tomorrow.

I bought more Friday. It always drops after I buy. Never fails.

Lithium’s scarcity has raised concerns that future shortages could cause battery prices to skyrocket and stymie the growth of electric vehicles and other lithium-dependent technologies such as Tesla Powerwalls, stationary batteries often used to store rooftop solar power.
Seawater could come to the rescue. The world’s oceans contain an estimated 180 billion tons of lithium. But it’s dilute, present at roughly 0.2 parts per million. Researchers have devised numerous filters and membranes to try to selectively extract lithium from seawater. But those efforts rely on evaporating away much of the water to concentrate the lithium, which requires extensive land use and time. To date such efforts have not proved economical.

The change in voltage, Cui explains, causes lithium and sodium ions to move into the electrode, stop, and then start to move back out when the current reverses. However, because the electrode material has a slightly higher affinity for lithium than sodium, lithium ions are the first to move into the electrodes and the last to leave. So, repeating this cycle concentrates lithium in the electrode. After 10 such cycles, taking just minutes, Cui and colleagues ended up with a one-to-one ratio of lithium to sodium, they report this month in Joule.
“That doubles the selectivity, at least,” compared with previous attempts to use battery electrodes to harvest lithium, says Chong Liu, a materials scientist at the University of Chicago who previously was a postdoctoral scientist in Cui’s laboratory.
The advance is still not likely cheap enough to compete with mining lithium on land, Liu says. However, she says her group is attempting to increase selectivity using other types of lithium-ion battery electrodes.
Choi adds that the approach might also prove useful for recovering lithium from discarded batteries, giving the metal a second lease on life—and potentially supercharging the ascendancy of electric vehicles.

TLDR: Scientists at the University of Chicago are using electrodes and filters to separate lithium from sodium out of seawater. Doesn’t compete with land mining yet, but progress is being made. Not sure that it means anything for SLi, especially over the next couple of years, but the market is being chased, and Standard needs to press their advantage hard.

Their extracting it from seawater that's been trapped underground for millions of years. No way extracting from sea water even comes close. I believe the dead sea has high concentrations as well. Haven't seen anything about it in awhile, but it seems like I saw something about SLI having some rights in Dead Sea area. Could be off on that and haven't seen it mentioned in anything recent.

150k premarket in the wrong direction already. Gonna be a rough day.
Posted on 8/16/21 at 8:15 am to Fe_Mike
Eh we’ll see, I think the low has been hit already at $6.55 in the pre market. Lots of buyers under $7 imho. Feels like an opposite to last week where premarket was strong but then it dipped during the day.

Scooped 350 more shares at $6.68. Another buy order in sub $6.50. This is a blessing in disguise and y'all don't even know it!

Hit the 4k share mark. Need more powder but want that 5k

I picked up some at 6.50, raised the rest of the order to 6.55, also put a order in the Roth at 6.65, come on dips!
