Yep I was up 4K, ended 1k down because I threw money at it around 6.50. Still feel good about the upcoming weeks though.

The movement today off the back of the Mintak interview with fox business was breathtaking and demonstrates a theme we have talked about - this stock is just not known yet.
A few minute soundbite on the second business news network set it to trigger the circuit breaker. When this gets air time on CNBC and more general discussion - look out.

Wow. I’ve had a very busy day and only was only able to check in a few times to see what was happening with this stock. Looks like y’all have all been on a hell of a roller coaster ride today. At the end, the getting off point is the same spot where y’all we got in.

Imo, it’s a lame arse time to sell. If you think $8.56 is the ceiling or want to swing trade, that’s understandable, but most baws here won’t start getting a chubby until this thing breaks $18

One thing I learned for sure today was we weren’t just spitballing when we were speculating about hitting $20-30. I now get the sense it happens within a years time. Possibly in 2021 even.

We’ve got a lot of PRs we need more info on before getting to that level. Not saying it won’t happen but weigh the risk.
The Lanxess JV and the tetra analysis could possibly get us to $10. Those are high likelihood. There are other patent and tech related PRs that could get us to $20. But these are unknowns. I don’t think $30 is on the table until several years out, barring a buyout.
There are serious tech risks here. Albemarle being the main one. Albemarle could mimic this plant commercially in 6 months and has money to blow. They have gone all in on lithium and project to be the world leaders in lithium production soon. Lanxess isn’t on that lithium radar, but they track with Albemarle’s footprint and are strong competitors. Albemarle has all of the same resources as Chemtura in Arkansas in terms of upstream supply. Probably more, haven’t seen those numbers recently.
I have a stupidly large position in SLi and am bullish but just trying to make sure folks aren’t going all in here expecting $30 by 2022. Weigh the risks. It’s a great bet. But it’s not a sure bet. There never is.
