10k.

Only plan on using it at Walmart so I wasn't worried about it.

Do the United changes to status earning help anyone else? I just checked and while I'm not quite there per the current guidelines for status if I do the same flights next year I'll achieve it easily.

CSR gave me a 6.99% APR until April (not that it matters). Why do companies do this? Hope that tards will run up balance and not pay it off before it jumps back up?

Of course. They make money from interest payments and swipe fees.

Got the same. I think it’s targeted at folks who put a lot on the card each month but always pay the statement balance. Probably to get them to buy something they can’t afford.

SW companion pass will require 125,000 points next year. Also announced that points will not expire.

Thank goodness I got that Performance card at 80k this past week.

Personal still on deck so as long as approval occurs it shouldn't change things for me too much.

Any thoughts on the new delta Amex program?

I currently have the gold but thinking of upgrading to the platinum for an extra hundred on the annual fee. Is the companion certificate a pain to actually use? Extra miles for hotels and flights seems nice, although it doesn’t have a 100 dollar flight credit for spending 10 grand like the gold

Can be, I don't know the algorithm, but from where we live and want to go, some of the locations are blacked out and not available, so you have to be prepared for that.
I think it's worth the $195 to get the companion ticket, and almost every ticket we buy costs $500 plus, so getting one for just the fee makes it worthwhile to us.

No it's very easy. My primary reason for the platinum is the status waiver but I probably break even with the companion certificate.

Found the mother of all deals. 200k signup bonus, BUT you have to spend $50k in 6 months. Crazy.

Spark® Miles from Capital One® Limited Time Offer
Earn up to 200,000 bonus miles

Wish I knew how to manufacture spend or had some very large purchases coming though.

Has anyone purchased the $1k vgcs from a Simon mall? Do you need a prior purchasing relationship or can you roll up and buy a couple thousand?

Huh?

Unless SW changed something in the past few months, there are no blackouts. As long as there is a WGA or AT fare available, you can add.

I’ve had CP for 3yrs now and never heard or seen this.

It’s the easiest benefit to use...

There was a discussion of this on one website I check in on from time to time, maybe Doctor of Credit.

I do recall Simon being pretty open about courting folks who have previously purchased but can't recall if that was a requirement.
