No you didn't. You both made every single payment.

Unless you had a pre-nup, payments "you" made during the marriage were made with community property.

Damn, OP let someone frick his wife, raise his children, and paid him 15,000 dollars to do so.

I think this should be the definition of cucked.

You blew it. I don’t know who your divorce attorney is but he sounds like he’s terrible.

Pay the woman, stay out of contempt/jail and start railing some trashy broads. It’ll make you feel better,

He probably didn't misinform him, he probably told him something that he didn't like so so he turned it into his post looking for validation to his self made lie.

Similar thing happen to a friend of mine. His money for the down payment. He made three times as much as her and paid the note for three or four years. After Katrina he busted his as for two months fixing it back up with no help from her.
A year later she got caught cheating on him. She still got half of everything.

Who are you going to sue? The judge who ordered you to pay?

You may have paid all the payments but half of the money you were using on those payments was hers (while you were married). Doesn’t matter whose name was on anything. At best you could possibly recoup the payments you made after the property settlement, but if you had made at least 30k in payments before the property settlement you are probably screwed. She gets at least her half of the payments back out of the sale and probably half the profits if there were any.

Unless there is some kind of secret asset she has that was not disclosed , you are really only paying her back her half of your money!
