If you don’t mind me asking, what is the club initiation fee. I looked at one a few weeks ago and it was $43k.

One could also use this as an excuse to use the money for the country club. If you're the networking type, think of it as an investment in the future. After all, it's not who you are, but who you know.

It’s all gravy until you get hit with an assessment. Seeing anything needing big time repairs soon? Pool/greens/pro shop/tennis courts?

Like if you’re doing this to get access to a pool it’s probably not a bad idea but I think it’s gonna end up being more than 280 a month once they nickel and dime you

Don't some clubs require you to use their restaurant ever so often?

Is there a food minimum per month? If you already eat out it may be no big deal but know that you're going to have to eat at the club or just pay it anyway.

Lay out all of the expenses if you don't mind.

Only country club I know of was like a $5k initiation plus $5,000 annual dues. On top of that, you have to pay the "cart fee" when you play a round. I don't know if there are any minimums on the restaurant.

My biggest complaint about joining a country club is you have to play there exclusively. . . a lot to justify the membership. I like to play a lot of different courses, and the cost per round goes up substantially if you only play there 2 or 3 rounds a month.

You always pay yourself first. Then all the other shite.

At $280 sure why not.

If you’re a golfer then at $50 a round it starts making sense pretty quickly….especially if they have other resources you’ll use.

You have 3500/month in disposable. MORE than enough to solidly invest while having plenty left over for living.

The 280 per month will be money well spent if you do golfing/tennis/pool 8-10 times per month. Do you play both?

Once a week tennis and once a week golf and you are getting a lot of bang for your buck if the grounds and facilities are in decent shape and maintained.

You can afford it, frick the haters.

Country Clubs are jam up. Access to a pool if you don’t have one, golf, bangin’ Sunday lunches, and shoulder rubbing with people of equal or greater means.

Also, starting your kids early on the country club sports instead of thinking little Braxtyn’s got a big league curve will be a much more pleasant use of time and money.

My hunting club is $5,000 per year, my duck blind is $8,000 per year, and I make the exact same as you dude. I don’t regret a single penny of it. Don’t listen to these boring friks, you gotta live a little!!!
