ADP payroll processors offers a service that pays the worker EACH day, rather than wait for the weekly or bi-weekly check.

I wonder whether employees' attendance is better or worse under this system?

How pathetic. I find it easier to get paid just once a month.

Can you imagine having to save $1,500 to 2,000 for bills while getting paid daily? Talk about a nightmare for these folks who are undisciplined with weekly to biweekly pay checks.

I'll admit I've been there while making good money, a lot of that has to do with poor decisions in the past. Of course this is TD where everyone makes the right decision 100% of the time and has helped....

Check to check? I bet they have I phones and pay 100 bucks a month to use it. Also, I bet they have cable TV with every channel imaginable on it. Their priorities are fricked up.

This is an issue I want to devote a lot of community service time towards. It’s something that needs to be addressed at the high school level.

I worked with a woman who used to be amazed that I would not know when it was payday. I think it really pissed her off,

She could not imagine a person who was not focused on payday.

She would have really been pissed if she had known that one of the owners would have a few uncashed paychecks rattling around in his desk at any given time.

Beware these types of people.

These are going to be the ones front in line screeching that it is unfair that people have been able to amass big 401k balances instead of enjoying the short term pleasures of spending every cent as soon as you get it.

when you create a welfare nation, it will behave as such. People are inherently stupid and impulsive. Feelings are more important than facts. Buddy has some land in county west of here we go shoot, hunt, etc...Everytime we go out there pass a double wide trailer with a 2017 King Ranch and a newer model Suburban parked in front. 125k in cars in front of a 15k trailer.

Can someone give me a definition of paycheck to paycheck?

I put money in my 401k, save some cash, have insurance and all that good stuff. But I still need a check to clear so I can. Pay for cable.

If I'm a month ahead, am I no longer living paycheck to paycheck? I'm just confused at where the line is.

Yeah I think most people are needing the check to pay for bills that month

I'm never ahead on payments.

I take paycheck to paycheck as being squeezed to the last penny on bills and other costs

If you can't cover at least four months of bills if you got laid off today then you are living pretty damn much paycheck-to-paycheck. Imo

You get bills x,y,&z in the mail.

You pay x, but physically do not have means to pay y&z until you get your next paycheck. You are living paycheck to paycheck.

So then this assumes these people have no savings. OK then im wrong.

If you have money saved and the ability to pay then its not pay check to pay check

So one month's salary in the bank, not living paycheck to paycheck?

I see paycheck to paycheck as only being able to afford the necessities and having no money left over for savings and retirement.

Been there, done that and still didn't have enough to cover....is a hard way to navigate life.

Hopefully, will not find ourselves there again as we approach retirement as that sure seems like living a miserable lot.

To be able to enjoy the fruits of one's labors, that is the ticket and paycheck to paycheck doesn't rise to that standard
