im more excited for him with the baseball side of things then the football side

With all the pitching we've lost, he's a must have for baseball.

We'd have a pretty wicked rotation if he and Ranaudo end up here next year.

I hope he doesn't end up needing Tommy John's surgery or something which could possibly harm his football playing career.

I disagree with you completely. Let me paint this picture for you. JJ or JL transfers or JJ has a solid year and turns pro. Who plays QB next year or the year after that? Steven Rivers as a true freshman?
Zach Lee is equally important on both fronts. I think more so for football.

Nice link. I just feel like this kid is gonna be special. I'll have my fingers crossed that Aug 16th passes with little fanfare.

I'm really excited for this kid and pray he stays at LSU. We'll be in a mess on both fronts if not.

That's a whole lot of "ifs."

Well you have to be prepared "if". We need Lee at QB. Otherwise we have no depth.

ZL will be more important this year for baseball about as important in 2 years for football probably depends how good he is at baseball, if he is our ace he may not see much football time, but maybe he could be a beast for both baseball and football.
that would be awsome

We have a better depth chart at QB than Florida or Bama.

I was waiting on someone to bring it up

I sure hope he doesn't step foot on the mound this year as a Tiger. The sooner he does the sooner he leaves potentially. People have been all worried about him leaving this year (Aug.16th) and all along that is the least of my worries with him. He will be here this season. My fear from the beginning is will he be here for the 2012 season. That is the question. Would hate to lose out on good quarterbacks because he is here which we may have already happened via the Florida to Bama signee and then have him up and leave us just when he was going to get playing time leaving us with having to start our second string qb.

Really? We have JJ and JL who are the same classification. Then we have Zach Lee. THen we have.............

I know he would be saying these things whether he was staying or not. But the way he talks about improving and and his future with the team makes me very optimistic.

if he sings with LSU then he will spend atleast 3 years here meaning he will have one year to start as QB if he is good neough

if he is a junior that year he will be here

again if he comes to LSU he will have to stay untill he is junior or untill he turns 21 I think whatever comes first, he will probably stay till the junior year if he comes to LSU so no need to worry.

I knew someone would bring it up, just didn't think someone would say that he has no potential due to it.

I don't know but I thought the Junior thing was for the NFL not Pro baseball? Can someone clear that up for me. If he has to be a junior to play pro baseball then that is good news to my ears.
