You're crazy if you don't think Coach Johnson wants to win this tournament

He wants a SEC Championship to add on his resume.. I say throw your big dogs and win this whole damn thing.
I hate some of the posters on here saying this tournament doesn't mean nothing and save your players

Of course every single person that steps on the field wants to win dude. But you don't push pitchers at the expensive of the rest of the season just to win a game tomorrow or Sunday.

He knows this team probably isn’t going to Omaha, so he’s trying to get our young guys as much experience and big time games as he can, so they are ready for it when they do get back to Omaha. Which will probably be next year! But he’s not going to throw Jump or Holman, except maybe in the 9th to get the save Sunday!

That’s how losers think. Jay isn’t a loser.

Koki Twitter article:
LSU right-hander Luke Holman and left-hander Gage Jump are unavailable to start Saturday. Out of the bullpen, right-hander Christian Little threw 51 pitches on Thursday, which likely likely keep him out until Sunday at the earliest.
The rest of LSU's top arms, at least in theory, should be available Saturday. But Johnson threw some caution into the wind when asked whether the likes of right-hander Gavin Guidry, left-hander Nate Ackenhausen and left-hander Griffin Herring could pitch again in Hoover.
"They've been able to do that in the past. (But) obviously with next weekend in mind, we have to listen and feel (their bodies) maybe a little bit more than we would if it was the middle of the season," Johnson said. "But I'm sure they're gonna want to pitch."

This has to be the dumbest take on this.
I get being a realist and all, but damn. Do you think Jay is actually writing his team off after what they have accomplished this week?

I wouldn't expect to see Jump or Holman again until regionals.
The remainder of the leverage bullpen arms will be used in spot work, if it calls for it. I guess Little could be the only leverage arm burned, but I think he'd be available in spot work on Sunday.
I'm just not even sure who all is active. I think I'd start Kade Anderson tomorrow, maybe Dutton or Hellmers. Sunday is truly the "whatever" day. If you get to Sunday, you obviously still want to win, but you kind of just throw whatever out there and hope your whatever is better than their whatever. We are still in a good spot for tomorrow to be a calculated pitching approach.

It would be great for the fans, too. In a rebound year, after winning the natty, we still won the SEC tournament? That would be very cool.

I think the opposite. He sees his team finally putting it all together. He riding that in this tournament gaining momentum into next weekend. All this “sec tournament doesn’t mean anything” is crap. If you win it, it means you’ve beaten the best in the country.

How stupid can you be!

SECT is an awesome side quest but the primary goal at LSU is and will always be Omaha. Get there, then when you're there, try to win the thing.
We don't rebuild or have rebound years. GTFO with that.
Johnson won't and shouldn't do anything to win the SECT that will jeopardize next wknd. He's proven he'll do the opposite in fact. Use tomorrow/Sunday as a chance to tinker, see who he can trust on the mound
. As he should

Less about adding an SEC Tourney champion to his resume and more about being SECT champs and back-to-back National Champs

He most definitely isn’t thinking that with his 2 hosses on the mound. Jay believes they can get to Omaha.

Everyone is at the back-end of their bullpens. Time for a young arm and person looking for a role to step up.
Either you need 2 pitchers that can give 6 innings each or some hot bats.

You need to wake up, 13-17 with no regional hosting or super regional hosting is the definition of a rebuild/rebound.
