10-2 with playoff birth.

It’s so important to beat Bama at home this year… show that they no longer live rent-free in our heads without their Dark Lord.
2012/2014/2016/2018 were fricking frickED

I've been saying 10-2, but if the defense improves more than I think, we could go 11-1. Our toughest road game is TAMU and we, including me, are only speculating that TAMU will be decent this year. They could suck or be below average.
Bama still gives us that desperation pick feeling if we say we win, but got damnt we'll have a better offense than we did in 2022 and a defense that might be average which is good enough. I just do not see the elite Bama receivers that make me think they are going to have a great passing game this year. They might have a really good run game, but i assure you that secondary will be problematic for them all year. I say LSU let's Nuss loose that game. Make them have to throw to keep up. We now have the scheme to go after Milroe who got sacked like crazy last year outside of our game against him. We aren't going to allow him to have his one outlier rushing performance against us like he did last year.

10-2 loss at bama and maybe Ole Piss! I hate to say that and want that 11-1 record. #GEAUXTIGERS

11-1 hopefully. I can see it happening.

10-2 and we ain't losing to the Gumps! Bama is a shell of what it was.

quote:Florida has sucked and they are easily overlooked now but playing @Florida the week after Bama where lsu typically has a letdown week is going to be the trap game.
@A&M is the trap game imo
We beat the 5 straight times, broke that program in the shoe game and Napier is out for blood against lsu because we weren’t interested in sun belt Billy.

8-4
Losses to So Cal, Ole Miss, ATM, and Florida. Really don't see the defense doing a complete 180. There aren't studs in the trenches. The losses will be close, and the D will let us down. Get used to it.

9-3 but hopeful for 10-2+

Sort of where I'm at without seeing them play. I still think the defense will be a liability.

9-3. Loss to A&M, Florida and split Bama and Ole Miss
@A&M on a second straight tough road week and @Florida after Bama are the toughest tests on the schedule. Bama and Ole Miss are the 2 toughest opponents but we play both at home after a bye and will take at least 1. OU at home doesn’t scare me for some reason. I expect them to be fatigued after a full season in the SEC. They crash and burned last year when they had a layup to make the playoffs and that was against a Big 12 schedule

Keep in mind this guy has Florida and Texas A&M ranked ahead of us in his poll. He’s always trying to be cute with his predictions.

USC is the "fulcrum" game. Win, and I think LSU is 9-3. Lose, 8-4.
I think the offense is still going to be good, but not as dominant as last season. The defense will be improved. But there are still very big concerns with personnel and depth.
LSU goes 3-1 at home. They'll split the Alabama and Ole Miss games.
2-2 on the road. On paper the road schedule isn't daunting. But it is still just really tough to win on the road. In 2022 LSU struggled to beat Florida, Auburn and Arkansas teams that were .500 teams or below. They lost to a 5-6 A&M team. In 2023 LSU went 2-2 on the road. But for the blowout vs. MSU, all of the games were close.
I definitely see a path to at least 10-2. ,maybe better. But I can't predict that yet with so many unknows going into the season.

10-2 with 1 loss to Bama and another somewhere along the way granted we win game one
Posted on 8/21/24 at 9:20 am to Allthatfades
10-2.
But I do think we beat Bama.

Well, here it is. I'll just ignore Phil Steele's uninspiring predictions for LSU's upcoming season, and just wing it:
USC in Vegas-- W. Don't feel confident here, but SC is overrated imo
Nicholls- W
@ S Carolina - W
UCLA -- W
S. Alabama-- W
Ole Miss-- W. I feel good about this game, esp as Ole Miss will be playing its second straight road game vs an opponent having had a bye-week advantage.
@ Arkansas -- L. Hogs have a bye-week advantage coming in; LSU always struggles vs them; timing of the game is all wrong for LSU
@ A&M--L
Alabama-- W
@ Florida-- W
Vanderbilt -- W
LSU 10-2 overall. Playoffs? YES
