doubt anyone will mention this because we lost and the actual game was complete garbage, but the build up to the 2009 game was pretty insane.

Jesus had a concussion.. and didn’t tell anyone. Remember that. The lsu offense couldn’t do dick. And remember Florida having the Ball it seemed like the whole game. We couldn’t even punch it from the 2 yard line in the 2nd Qtr. And Tebow didnt do much but the pass to Riley Cooper to seal the win. Lsu didn’t even across the 50 in the 2nd half. Talk about a huge buildup and getting punched in the nutts. That was the game the fans and the rant really started to lay it on miles 3 yards and a cloud of dust offense

Yep that game was epic, no one expected us to win coming off that terrible Vandy game the week before. Tailgate was somber, we though we were gonna lose by 40 - It was Evil Spurrier at his height.

But when Herb cut loose on that 40 yard TD run...it gives me chills just to recall it.

1997 game question?? Is this account (from THIS thread):
quote:

1997 PREGAME- some gator fans brought a "Work Em Silly, Gators" sign into TS on a big white sheet.
They thought they were hot shite. Brought the sign to the edge of the student section to taunt the students.
Some brave baw runs by grabs the sheet and high-tails it to the safety of the SS, where the sign is promptly ripped to shreds.
Gator fans try to complain to the sheriffs on duty but they just give then a shoulder shrug.
Knew it was gonna be a special night after that

… the same as this account from LINK ]What’s the loudest you’ve heard Death Valley?
quote:

It started in the student section with a Gator fan or band member took a giant gator flag to the NW lower bowl. A drunk LSU student took the flag from the dumbass FL fan. The guy ran back to the student section with the flag and the dumbass FL dude chased him. As soon as he got close he passed it up one row and teased him with it. Then some stadium officials tried to help him retrieve it and they passed that flag all the way to the upper deck and tossed it out of the stadium. This was well before game time and barely 5K had trickled in but the roar started there.

They seem similar, but different. Who all on here witnessed this?

Did you attend any other LSU games in Gainesville?
No, and I don't intend to ever go back. I've always considered the 2004 experience as "righting" the wrong I experienced in 1998, and I just want to leave it at that and not tempt fate. It's difficult to communicate how awful the Florida fans were in 1998. I've never been spit on and treated that way by a crowd of people before. It was like walking through an antifa crowd wearing a MAGA hat.

No. ThT was 2014.

2011 is when we routed them at home. 2010 is when jarret Lee won it for Us saving JJs terrible performance with a game winning fade route for a TD. We had a fake FG that game. Kept thatbdrive going.

I was in the student section.
It was a big white sign/sheet - I don’t remember what was written on it exactly. The first version is pretty much how it went.
No flag, no throwing out of the stadium, etc.

Not even close.....Jacob Hester trucks safety Major Wright in the 2007 game. Hester was a beast in that game.

Tommy Banks (FB FOR THE TIGERS FROM WEST MONROE) and the great play where he actually was completely straight out as he crossed over the goal line....what a picture!

The key to this game saturday is getting after the QB and keep the crowd in the game...GO TIGERS!! The tiges win in a close game!!

I was in my final semester of grad school at UF (B.S. and M.S. at LSU) and took a break from writing my Dissertation to come to the 2007 game. Sat with my mom. I’ve never cheered so hard and yelled obscenities at the school I was attending. It was awesome to go back to Gainesville that following Monday morning. I smiled all the way through graduation and the National Championship.

Any time we beat them IN Gainesville.
Love singing, "it's great... to BEAT ... the Florida Gators," as we exit the stadium.

I recall several moments where LSU had open receivers running open downfield and the crowd would gain noise during the play, and it would inevitably result in a sack or throw away.

This one is an easy answer for me. It's probably my favorite moment in my history as an LSU fan

The 2007 game was the most tense game I've ever been a part of. Midway through the 3rd quarter LSU scored to cut the lead to 3. It was the closest LSU had been in a while since they had trailed by 10 much of the game to that point. The crowd was going crazy and CBS went to a commercial timeout. Inside the stadium, Dan Borne announced that Stanford had just upset #1 (in one poll) USC, which meant a win by LSU would make them the undisputed #1 team in the polls. The crowd and the LSU sideline went crazy. It was just constant noise at a point when nothing was actually happening on the field. Fans were cheering. The band was playing. LSU had just cut the lead to 3. It was the most surreal moment I've experienced in Tiger Stadium, in the midst of the only game in 30+ years I've ever left feeling absolutely exhausted simply from the nearly 4 hours of non-stop tension.

1997 for sure, Our defense owned Doug Johnson ( Troy Twille!) that was a classic, beautiful hollywood scripted victory , goal posts coming down after knocking off big bad cocky #1 Florida--just remains my fav Fla moment.

Now you know how I felt after the 1979 USC game.... the better team lost that night but it was exhausting as a fan.... there was a constant buzz throughout the stadium that night that I have not heard since.

This is old school but I remember the 1982 game at the swamp Dalton Hilliard took over and put his name on the map..... we smoked FLA that day...... good times.
