Your favorite LSU - Florida moment
2007 HANDS DOWN, all those 4th down conversions on the game-winning drive, the reaction of Tiger Stadium to the PA announcer's announcement that Stanford defeated USC, all the drama, it was Florida, Meyer, and Tebow, can't top it.

2011 beating the shite out of them and the Brad Wing penalty
The fake field goal in 2010 is still probably the craziest thing I’ve ever seen though

Did that really happen? I keep seeing references to it every year around this time.
I can guarantee you that it happened. I remember it quite vividly. Dude had green hair as I recall..

In the YouTube link, you can hear the crowd noise pegging out the mic level meters in the ESPN truck into almost a srieking white noise.
I offer this as evidence of the "loudest moment in TS" in the other thread.

quote:that was actually 2014. one of the more meaningless matchups we've had this decade, but a great game. Rickey Jefferson I believe is who picked it off when Florida was getting ready to attempt a game winner.
The long field goal to win it after we intercepted a Fla pass (maybe 2010 or 2011?)

Is the 2015 game the least remembered Top 10 matchup in this history of LSU football? The rankings for that game were nearly identical to this Saturday's game (8) Florida vs (6) LSU. LSU had multiple big plays in the game -- long completion on a flea-flicker; Hail Mary pass for a TD with 24 seconds left in the 1st half; Fake FG for a TD.
The game went in typical LSU/Les Miles fashion. LSU took a 21-7 lead in the 2nd Quarter..only to squander it away vs. Fla and their backup QB. The game goes to the 4th quarter tied 28-28 until LSU goes ahead on the fake FG and ends with an incomplete hail mary near the endzone.

The way Hester ran on that final drive was amazing.....you just can’t get better football than that.

For me it was the Hester on that final drive in 2007. He was a freaking beast on that drive.

The UF player, cornerback I believe, who made a comment about Mike the Tiger being intimidating but called him a lion or some such. Player was describing the TS atmosphere

Shucks. Saw this one late. Well, even thought its been mentioned, 2007 can't be stated enough.
Here's a weird one, like a bad golf joke: 1980 LSU 24 #19 Florida 7. LSU had just lost to Rice. We fumbled 12 times that day losing 5 and still won comfortably in the Swamp. Cris Collinsworth scored Florida's TD.

I wish I’d gotten a shirt that said “you always remember your first time in Tiger Stadium” with the score on it.
Do they still make game week T-shirt’s and sell on free speech alley?? Had a cool one from Texas A&M from1988 and gave it away. Im dumb.

Yes. I actually went to that game and forgot how highly ranked the teams were. It's also incredible it was a night game (something I correctly predicted when I was arranging for my parents to fly in for a big night game at the beginning of the season). Same thing as this year, CBS picked Alabama and Texas A&M. But back to it being forgotten, I think because we got beat handily by Alabama and then trounced by both Ole Miss and Arkansas all in consecutive weeks most Tiger Fans have completely pushed that season including that game from their memories.

Hester scoring and faking injury to make sure there was a replacement for him on the FG unit. Stud heads up thinking after 5/5 4th conversions/TD
