LSU has 3 National Championships this century, Alabama has 5. We played for one and lost, thus being one game from the total being 4 and 4.

No one else has 3. Who should we be comparing ourselves with, Texas A&M?

neck and neck with Alabama as far as NFL players are concerned,
this NFL comparison is such bullshite. If LSU is neck and neck with Alabama in NFL players, why doesn’t LSU have as many NCs as Alabama, huh? Why didn’t those future pros play like champions when they were in Baton Rouge?

Because they have had the greatest coach in college football history since 2007 and LSU won national titles with a guy who got fired from Ole Miss and another one who eats grass, struggles to speak in complete and coherent sentences and hasn't won a game at Kansas since the iPhone 7 was new.

we've won 3 NCs since 2003, played for a 4th, recruit as well as the best teams in the country, are the only Power 5 team in a state that's chock-full of elite recruits, and have elite facilities and resources.

No reason we shouldn't compare ourselves to Bama, Clemson, OSU, etc.

LSU has had a great 20 year run. Very elite. I follow both Bama and LSU closely. Bama football is run from top to bottom very well. Best in the game. From top to bottom, Bama football is a machine.

How so? Do you see LSU fans in other areas of the country that aren't from Louisiana? We complain about sidewalk Alabama fans all the time because they have a nation wide brand.

There are LSU fans everywhere. I travel all over the country and see it. Just look at our recruiting classes to see that.

Elias Ricks did not come from California to a regional school.

LSU isn’t consistent enough. Recruiting is one thing, but they’re not a well oiled machine yet.

No reason LSU can’t be. Just shrugging and saying “oh well, that’s just not us” is a loser mentality.

Recruiting and being a nationwide brand are not one in the same. I think we can all agree that Clemson is not a blue blood but that isn't stopping them from pulling elite classes every year.

Alabama is a blue blood. They have decades of rich history with National Championships. They recruit at the highest level because of this. Saban is the best recruiter in the game period.

Keep in mind that LSU didnt start doing this until Saban stopped by. 50-70 years from now, LSU will probably be considered a "blue blood".

When you look at it a certain way. This is basically the beginning of LSU becoming dominant. Recruiting is great and overall more sustained.

Right now we have to settle for a natty every handful of years because Saban cherry picks recruits.

Who raids Louisiana when hes gone? I think youll start to see a sharp increase in LSU stock in the next 10 years. Just need a coach who doesnt get complacent.

That’s just plain silly. Alabama is no more well endowed than LSU. The talent has been even for decades; the difference has just been coaching.

LSU has had a few coaches drive the program into the ground. Once we find leadership to harness the power, LSU is as much if not more of a robust program. Remember Bama before Saban? You have to go back to Stallings to find a good team. Bama just lucked out in a quality coach with a long tenure.

Proof of this would be how LSU has been a relative afterthought this year nationally while people talk about Michigan and Penn St. daily. All three teams have had similar seasons, but the one that no one cares about is the defending national champs

They've done research on this and brand wise LSU is #9 as of 2019 WSJ

I was the same way before this season. I won't return until I see improvement and won't rip my hair out at the game. Until then I'll save my money for the beach
