Wade was not clean, but neither are the top head coaches in the country. Basketball is a dirty sport. Oats is heading back to the Sweet 16 while the LSU program has been set back at least 4 years. Wade would have had the program in a similar spot.

1. You don’t win with coaches who get coach either.

2. Wade was hired before Oats and didn’t have us in that spot, so.

the spot where multiple players are implicated in a murder?

actually let me rephrase. one of his players murdered someone. player number 2 supplied the gun. player number 2 is still playing. Will Wade is now in Lake Charles. and our program might as well be dead

Those coaches are better at hiding their cheating than Wade.

If Miller did supply the gun, making him an accessory to murder, Oats should lose his job for continuing to play him.

Clean as a whistle coaches do not exist in college basketball. Wade was sloppy, he got fired. I think LSU should’ve rode it out and stuck with wade but that didn’t happen. Oats is a POS, obviously.

Wade had a chance to win us our first SEC Tournament since 1981 and blew it.

Had he won that, I might be more in his corner, but he showed he crumbles under pressure.

I’d love to use an NCAAT game as an example, but I can’t, and that’s more Joe Alleva’s fault in 2019 for suspending Wade.

When Wade coached his biggest game, it was against one-seeded Michigan, and we were overmatched (and should not have faced them in the second round but did due to getting the 8th seed when we should have been 6th or 5th), so I don’t think that is a good example to use, either, so I’ll stick with Bama-LSU in the SECT Championship.

No, they probably aren’t. Wade had extremely bad luck. What college basketball coach expected to have their conversations caught on an FBI wire. If you wired every other P5 coach in America, you’d have very similar conversation. Hell, if you tapped Penny, you’d probably get him directly negotiating with players.

The narrative that Wade was sloppy is BS. He did it the same way Pearl, Barnes and others do. He just happened to be unlucky enough to get caught in an FBI wire tap on the guy he was talking to. Still trying to figure out who the victims of Christian Dawkins “crimes” are supposed to be.

Don’t be fooled the publicity of that phone call is the only reason the NCAA went after so hard. They ultimately threw a bunch of allegations into an NOA to make it look bad. Seems obvious now they couldn’t actually make those allegations hold up in the IARP process.

Don't try to tell that to some of these loons. They seem to think that it must be true because someone typed it onto a piece of paper.

He had us in the tourney.
You don't win unless you make the Tourney.

How many favorites have won the Championship over the last twenty years.
Wade has always coached with the philosophy, if I make the tourney often enough, one day the schedule talent, and opponents will align, giving us the opportunity to win it all.
Arkansas, Tn, Alabama, Ky all still have a chance. If Wade was at LSU, we probably would still be playing. He has beaten all those teams.
There is No Chance, zero, that LSU is going to win a Men's basketball championship in the next five years.
I wouldn't bet against Wade having McNeese make the Tourney in those five years. Would you?
Its on Woody.

If that were provably true, yes, Oats should lose his job. However, if that were provably true, Miller would be in jail.

Just giving (or loaning) somebody one of your guns does not make you an accessory to the crime they commit with it. It may make you stupid, but it doesn’t necessarily make you a criminal. Everybody is entitled to due process….even people we think are scum bags.
