How many years after saban is he still going to get credit for every bit of lsu's success like he does now? We are at 11 years at this point and you guys can't let him go.

I'm sure I won't get a response

Saban needed just as much luck for his, like most coaches do.

What situations exactly did you consider Saban to be lucky?

Are you serious? LSU broke the huddle on 3rd down from the 25 with 17 seconds, down by 1.

Flynn threw the ball with 7-8 seconds on the clock.

Please elaborate.

Eta or are you agreeing with me?

Why do you defend saban more than you support your own team?

Answer this: Was LSU a well-established top football program when Saban was hired at LSU?

Do you think LSU was a well-established football program when Miles was hired at LSU? Did they have a lot of talent on the roster?

No and Yes. But what does that have to do with the next coach? Are you saying LSU doesn't have a lot of talent now?

Watch the replay. If he drops the ball there is still 3 seconds at worst 2 seconds left on the clock for the field goal.

I haven't given Saban any credit for Miles' success. At least I haven't touched on my thoughts on that subject.

Saban opened the eyes of LA recruits as well as national recruits to what LSU could be. We've had major improvements to our facilities based solely on the foundation he built.

as far as wins and losses, nah. There is no correlation to Saban. But the recruiting fence is a pretty huge one.

Saban is constantly evolving. I would say a stubborn coach in the stone age needs more luck.

03, needed help from cal.
09, needed a finger to block a fg, an injury to LSUs qb and best player, and a bullshite call.
11, shouldn't have to explain.
12, needed help.

And? That doesn't change the fact that you can use your timeout and then go endzone. Same scenario except you can drain a few more seconds off the clock before calling timeout. If that ball is bobbled then it could be game over. And 3 seconds my arse.

Between Les and Cholly, LSU was averaging a coach every three years. That's terrible.
WTF are you talking about?

Cholly coached 18 years at LSU.
He was replaced by Bo Rein (0), who died tragically in a plane crash and never coached a game.
Stovall manned up and coached from 1980-1993 (4).
Replaced by Ansparger (3) who was a great hire but ended up fricking LSU hard.

What you're really talking about is Archer (4), Hallman (4), DiNardo (5). That was a culmination of total failure in the AD. Specifically Joe Dean undervaluing LSU football.

LSU didn't average 1 coach every 3 years. Every coach besides Rein coached for 3-5 years. The problem is LSU didn't think BIG until Emmert became Chancellor. He then made Saban the 3rd highest paid coach in CFB to come to LSU.

LSU had 8 commits when Saban left. Either he didn't give a shite, or its not as easy as you think.

Les had to recruit Louisiana after Katrina. You can laugh at this, but Nola still isn't back up to pre Katrina levels. That 07 team had 51% of its players from oos. I'd say Les had it way harder and had to go out of state to keep this program afloat growing its recruiting footprint even more.

dude whether there was 1 second left (maybe) or zero, Miles has to have someone tell him how many to's and what the D is doing. it takes forever to get a play in, and the OC is in the booth so he can't slap Miles hand. That is Henson's job or even worse, Peveto's.

it was like a blind squirrel finding a golden nut. i'm happy but disappointed. it was very obvious from the ASU game in 05.

We have only been in contention in mid November once since 2007. Is this what you characterize as success? Prior to 2007, we were in the mix almost every year from 2001-2006.

2001 - won SEC

2002 - lost the west on a Hail Mary.
2003 - won SEC
2004 - eliminated mid-November
2005 - won SEC West
2006 - eliminated mid-November but played in BCS bowl
2007 - won SEC
2008- never competitive in November
2009 - eliminated early November
2010 - eliminated before November
2011 - won SEC
2012 - eliminated in early November
2014 - eliminated before November
2015 - eliminated last week.

we aren't losing out.

now les may still not survive because i cant see us not getting creamed this weekend which will absolutely push people over the edge who aren't already in the apathetic state most of us are in. the team will be rock bottom but we wont lose to TAMU. if anything i think saturday is key.
