At LSU. Now we are talking about Oklahoma state?

So Saban is a better coach than when at LSU. Miles a better coach than at Oklahoma state. That's not far fetched with more experience.

You just have selective reading.

You completely ignore the fact I said they go 1-1 and win the bowl game, prob against a team they can just run the ball on.

the Ferrari was driven off the bridge. no need for sources. if Rabalais says an LSU coach is in trouble (big pumper) then it is done.

sorry but it's been a clusterfrick and it keeps getting worse but now we are losing and our coach is mentally losing it worse.

i hate it for him and my peeps but it's time to step down Les.

I can't support him any longer. His clock management and conservative play calling has been atrocious for years. Also, his inability to develop a QB has royally screwed us, year in, year out. Brandon Harris and Anthony Jennings are barely any better than the Jarrett Lee/Jordan Jefferson debacle. Not to mention that Miles can't keep his players out of trouble: Mathieu, Perrilloux, and Jefferson come to mind immediately. Just can't handle this crap any longer and things need to change.

With that being said, he'll be back next season, book it.

Conference record on a graph shows an arrow making a nose-dive to the lower right ever since 21-0.

Can't consistently compete with the best team in the division/conference and has even snatched defeat from the jaws of victory when having this team on the ropes several times.

The kicker for me has been the performance of special teams this year. Say what you will about offensive schemes, defensive match-ups, game strategies and tactics, depth and abilities in the trenches but anyone can see that LSU has PLENTY of athletes who can play on kick/kick return and punt/punt return units. I think the only possible explanation for the substandard play of these units is inadequate coaching. The HC has to recognize this and DEMAND improvement in the coaching of these units. If he's not doing this or is not able to do this after it has become abundantly clear that there is an inexcusable deficit of performance in this area, something is bad wrong. Very bad wrong. So bad wrong that getting a new Special Teams Coach will not solve it.

You never said "At LSU". You said "he's never lost 3 games in a row".

I responded to what you said.

Miles at LSU is better than saban at LSU. Yes. He's not better than saban at Bama.
I hate these Saban arguments. Context is always needed but no one cares about context.

Saban took over an LSU program that went 7-15 in it's last 2 years and hadn't won an SEC Title since 1988 and NC since 1958. Saban at LSU won the SEC in his 2nd season and NC in his 4th. He turned 7-15 into 18-7 in his 1st two years.

Miles turned Saban's last 2 years 22-4 into 22-4. There was no improvement. In fact Saban would have won the SEC and NC at LSU in 2006.

do you think Miles could have 3 national titles at Bama in 8 years?

Honestly idk. Saban has more experience as a head coach and was probably humbled a bit by the NFL. And in reality I believe saban had is foot out the door here. But he was being paid to coach at LSU. He didn't have his foot out the door at Bama. But maybe if he stuck at LSU he would have won more, but he didn't.

So all I have to go by is wins and losses. Les won more with sabans players at LSU than saban did. And I think stability at the top is also a reason LSU has been good. Between Les and Cholly, LSU was averaging a coach every three years. That's terrible.

Why stop at 2? Les won in 2007 with sabans players rt? It's only fair to do the first three years of Miles and the last 3 of sabans rt?

Again, I will eat crow if the next guy matches what Les has done.

Yes you do know. Come on. He wouldn't. It's not even a debate. Go back and watch some of the games that made you want to pull your hair out. Go back and watch Byrd save the day by catching that ball. Go back and watch the UT game. Go back and watch the Ole Miss clock management blunder. Go back and watch the last 2 years vs Arkansas. Miles is clearly not on Saban's level.

To be fair nobody's on nick's level, closest to it is urban Meyer today. he's the best in the game today and in the running for best ever.

I've been saying that all season. I shudder to think If he didn't have a heisman caliber tailback

Love when people use this one. As if there wouldn't have been enough time on the clock to kick the field goal

Answer this: Was LSU a well-established top football program when Saban was hired at LSU?

Do you think LSU was a well-established football program when Miles was hired at LSU? Did they have a lot of talent on the roster?

This is why I defend Miles in case tigertooth and Earl were wondering. What coach doesn't have issues when you have 85 schollies? Most likely the next coach will have issues like everyone else that recruits teenagers from poor areas of the country.
