LSU had 8 commits when Saban left. Either he didn't give a shite, or its not as easy as you think.
and if i recall we only had 13-15 scholarships to offer that year.
Your inability to give Saban credit for anything is laughable. Everything I say you spin and make a ridiculous point countering my argument, even though nothing you have said holds any water. "Either he didnt give a shite or its not as easy as you think"? ??? really, that is your response to that?

Les had to recruit Louisiana after Katrina. You can laugh at this, but Nola still isn't back up to pre Katrina levels. That 07 team had 51% of its players from oos. I'd say Les had it way harder and had to go out of state to keep this program affiliated growing its recruiting footprint even more.
1)Nola has always been an overrated recruiting ground for LSU. Im talking specifically Orleans parish.
2)Les is a good recruiter, no one has ever said differently.

LSU didn't average 1 coach every 3 years. Every coach besides Rein coached for 3-5 years. The problem is LSU didn't think BIG until Emmert became Chancellor. He then made Saban the 3rd highest paid coach in CFB to come to LSU.
My bad Bo's zero years takes the average down. I guess he shouldn't count.

there was no way we could've kicked a FG if Byrd doesn't haul in that pass.
We'll have to agree to disagree.
Your take on it is not correct.

lol it's about process. you will never see that. landscapes change. don't blame Saban for winning the most in a tough West.

Why stop at 2? Les won in 2007 with sabans players rt? It's only fair to do the first three years of Miles and the last 3 of sabans rt?

Good, its time for us to move on from this cluster anyways. Should have never hired him in the first place. Been saying it for years now. All across the board he is simply clueless as a HC, and its hard for those who love his coaching style to accept that. I get that. But, he will always be in Saban's shadow, and has proven year in and year out that he cannot win the games that matter, and cannot compete against the SEC West with any consistency.
We have been embarrassed for too long, and it needs to end before we wind up like Miami or Texas. Get him outta here, and give someone else a shot at it. This is ridiculous. I now understand completely why BAMA fans were chanting "OVERRATED" during the game in Tuscaloosa 2wks ago. Probably was more directed to Fournette than anything, but still. We are not an elite team, and the media has hyped us up this year to something we are not. We got exposed the last two weeks, and if anyone was watching our team this whole season, you would be honest about what we brought to the last two matchups. Miles has checked out. It is time for a change. Syracuse was a sloppy win, as was Eastern Michigan, and Western Kentucky. Lets not forget Miss St. nearly beat us early on too. We are already the laughing stock of college football.Firing Miles would right now would probably show our resilience and determination to once again play competitive and truly be in the championship spotlight again. Everyone in the country can see this, why can't we?

Isn't this exactly what you are doing in reverse?

Must be the worlds first 7-2 "laughing stock of college football"
How is that even possible?

Get off your agenda and learn something. I'm not even arguing Les/anti-Les. Just stop spouting out nonfactual bullshite to further your narrative.

Yeah have you noticed the further away we get from 2004, the 'Les' Competitive we are in the conference and nationally. You can try as hard as you want to ignore that fact, but the first 3 years post-Saban were Miles' best three year period. 2011 was his team, but an outlier from the trend since 2007. Even in that year, Saban handed Miles his arse.

I Agree !00% with the article , Les Miles has lost his edge. He has not devoloped talent. (don't tell me Beckem , Landry or Mingo etc..) these players were exceptional talent that will be successful dispite les miles. Outside of 2011, his teams Never improve during the season.
He's Hardheaded, lacks motivation and drive, watch him on the sideline walking around like he's at Disney World.
Frankly I'm Tired of his act.

Obviously NO is not a fertile recruiting ground for LSU. Frank is not going to solve that overnight being not a god at OP Walker. Katrina has nothing to do with it, it's because NO is a very multicultural city.

We will be 7-4 before this month is over.
Posted on 11/17/15 at 10:46 pm to Lester Earl
I disagree with the fence comment. I think that started with dinardo. And I was simply stating Les imo, still had to go out there and bust his arse to get recruits because of Katrina. Yeah he was handed a loaded roster, but he had to work harder to keep it loaded.

Even at 7-4 if that's the case, that isn't a "laughing stock". Quit being dramatic.
You act like lsu is a dumpster fire with a losing record.

8-0
6-2
5-3
4-4
4-4
That would be a losing record two years in a row.

How is it non factual?
My narrative is Les isn't some dumb idiotic coach. And that LSU hasnt exactly been the bastion of great coaches and he deserves credit, and blame of course.
I'm just defending the guy, that's all.
Never once did I say I want him to keep coaching here.
