So I guess a loss to Maryland plays no factor in this? You're bringing games up from TWO years ago, this is a completely different team.

That's bold. LSU has some advantages, but coaching isn't one of them. I believe you had blow out losses to Troy and Mississippi State under Orgeron.
Troy was 24-21

There is no where on the field that y’all will have the upper hand. Our defensive backfield has 3 legit first round picks, Our DL is deep & experienced, & the LB’s are fast, mean, & hungry. I’ll be surprised if Texas has 300 total yards. Your best chance of scoring is on special teams and that’s seems unlikely.
We have a 5th year Sr QB, 3 very talented RB’s that are better than any you’ll see all season, we return 4 of 5 OL, & we have a top 10 in the nation WR group.

Blowout losses? Troy was 3pts, but yes MSU was a blowout. Bro, Herman is 18-10. Orgeron is 26-8.

A one dimensional team is going to score 30 points on an NFL defense?

My prediction for this game is as follows -
LSU - 17
Texas - 30
Dude lets process this a little bit, UT gave up 14 to La Tech, Tech had more first downs than UT (Wow!!), and more time of possession (Wow!!), 413 yards of offense (Wow!!), what hurt them was 3 turn overs..(wow!!)
but you think LSU will only muster up 3 more points than La Tech did? How does your brain come to these conclusions?
Our defense is full of NFL talent, your kissing coach has already acknowledged this "challenge"...in fact he said it will be the most loaded, talented football team to grace your home field since he has been there....
Vegas has LSU winning by nearly a TD, yet you predict you're going to curb stomp LSU?
this is why we are called fans....

4. The animosity you have towards Herman is noticeable. He used you to get to us. Simple fact. It seems a lot of you are still salty about that. Saturday night he'll show you why you should have offered him what he wanted.

Seriously? SERIOUSLY?
You comparing that three player texas "O" to bama's?
Can't wait to retire so I can smoke some of what you just did.

3 years from now LSU is going to be the scary boogie man story your freshman now will tell new players about. By that time our defensive players will be in multiple pro bowls, and named in the NFL top 100.
Go back and look at how many times teams with heisman winning or hopeful qbs faced our defense and failed...miserably. We have beaten teams so physically that it set their programs back so far that they never reached relevance until a coaching change.
I don’t remember Texas doing that...do you?

Also, losing to Tory is in no way excusable but if im not mistaken they won the sunbelt, went 11-2, and also won their bowl game.

Thanks for joining (and posting). Love to hear from opposing fans the week of a big game (especially a great inter-conference game like this one).
I'll chime in and respond to each of your points. Here's to a great one Saturday night!
LSU is experienced (the true freshman corner aside), and playing in the SEC means one thing that won't faze them is the crowd noise. Love the enthusiasm, tho.
Can't disagree w/ your comments, as he's proven to coach well in big games. Is he a better in-game coach than Ed? Maybe, but Ed's not the one making in-game calls defensively, so I'm good w/ Aranda matching wits in that matchup.
I guess we'll see, but still think you're overselling the inexperience angle. I'd be more concerned with the 8 new starters y'all have on defense...oh, and a terrific pass rush generated by LSU's front 7 on D. Can't exploit a "young" secondary if your QB doesn't have time to throw downfield.
I was as excited as anyone when I thought he was coming, but that's not as big an issue as you're making it out to be, IMO. Besides, the fans being "salty" has no impact on what happens on the field...LSU players wanting to show out for the coach they love and feel was disrespected, now, is a different matter.
Ok, if you say so. This scheme fits the personnel more than any LSU offense in recent memory; I think this is your biggest fail if you think they won't produce.
Love the energy, tho, as that's a big reason why college football is so great. Hope y'all win out after you lose on Saturday (our playoff hopes can use the boost).
