Overall a solid take LE, but do you really think Bama isn’t better than us on paper?

Hell both the UTs look like they have more NFL talent than us especially in the front seven and OL.

But I hear ya, I don’t feel like we’re being out talented really. The games have played out poorly due to coaching decisions and big plays at the worst times.

But that’s on us to control the flow of the game better, which I think has a lot to do with this whole thing feeling like it was thrown together on short notice with a ton of heat and pressure as it was being put together, which is was lol.

Year 1 was always going to be an experiment on the fly, having a full offseason is going to give us a much better idea of what this era will look like imo.

And year 1 honestly hasn’t been awful. We’re close, just haven’t been able to put it all together.

I want a mansion, 1 billion dollars, ownership of every duck hunting hole in America, and perfect health for all of my family members until we hit 100.

Unfortunately reality ain’t lining up with what you and I want. LK can’t help that he came into a terrible situation

What other team had our level of turnover this offseason? Players & coaches

This isn’t the 7th straight time we’re doing it either

We haven’t competed for a title of any kind except for once in the last 15 years.

That doesn't change the fact that LSU hired a new head coach less than a year ago.

Argue if you want to about the cohesion of the roster, but lsu has multiple 1st round picks and several other top 100 picks on the team. This isn’t a poverty roster.

Agreed

It would be a championship roster with some 5th round picks on the interior offensive line

It looks like that is the main thing holding our offense back right now. Leavitt's running ability helps cover some of that up but he isn't Jayden Daniels

Last night was a poor game in terms of game management but some holes in our roster dictated what we could do consistently in the red zone where it counts

Oh really? You sure about that?

I don’t think Ohio State, Michigan, Florida, Oregon, Ole Miss, Texas A&M, etc. are very happy about where they’re at right now. Also, Alabama and Texas are only one win ahead of us.

Better team, yes. More talented, no.

Certainly better coached, but in 2026, sometimes that just means more time spent together.

There are no rebuilds in the NIL era. Use the money wisely. Don't overpay for a QB who struggles in big games, and invest in linemen.

Defense isn’t a rebuild yet we gave up 98 points in 3 loses . Bakers D hasn’t beat a team that finishes ranked and gets blown out every year at home and dude is praised and has this outstanding reputation. I don’t get it

This is true but then the first game played against Clemson we looked like a juggernaut. I think this gave us all false hope because we have seen domination like that in many years. When a team shows you full potential you kind of expect that to continue.

Lane had his best regular season ever last year at Ole Miss with 20 new starters and a backup QB from Ferris St. who only got the job due to injury.

I'll give him a little slack on the first year thing but not much, this ain't 1999 and last night and KY (who has a first year coach and 40 transfers by the way) - and quite honestly he shouldn't get much.

Kiffin will get time to prove his worth, it's o.k. to lay some responsibility on him now. He's a big boy and this is the SEC and LSU. He has to expect when you disappoint and you are the head coach, it's coming.

Nah

This is modern college football. You don’t give a guy 10’s of millions of dollars to build a roster to win in 3 years. That money is being spent to win NOW!

Kiffin’s is paid a lot
Our players are paid a lot
Our facilities are incredible
The Governor is our AD

The days of building a roster are over. You pay to build it NOW.

You really think the money folks expect this to be a long term proposition….? Heh. Nah. They want wins now and they’ll keep giving. Otherwise, watch and see. Money is going to dry up

Are you? Teams change much faster now. There is no "rebuild". Every team is mostly new.

They are. Every game has been competitive which is arguably more frustrating. Team just isn’t winning any of the close ones this season unfortunately.
