Y’all Wanted a Rebuild but Can’t Handle the Growing Pains

I did my fair share of raging over that Bama loss too but shite, it’s over. Some of y’all already talking down on Kiffin need to get a grip. He told us before the season this would take time. Leavitt missed spring. His QBs get better that second year. He flat out told us the line would be a problem, especially at guard, and it has been. We’re missing Whit Weeks and Keys couldn’t keep up with Keelon Russell or cover the tight ends. We’re missing Spears and Cooley got exposed on crossing routes. We had chances to win and didn’t capitalize. That’s what pisses me off.
But most of us were saying 9-3 before the season. First year with all these injuries? I’d call that a fricking success. Of course I wanted playoffs, but frick worrying about that right now. Texas and Tennessee are next. Win those two and who knows what happens. Just finish strong. Kiffin already said this would be the worst roster he has here, and we got a damn good recruiting class coming in. I trust him and Glasscock to figure out who needs replacing. He’s made it clear your NIL money can go up or down based on how you’re evaluated. I’m not worried about them knowing where we need to get better. I’m still rocking with Kiffin.

I don’t want a sixth consecutive rebuild. I want to compete, now.
We haven’t competed for a title of any kind except for once in the last 15 years.

I’m sure you couldn’t if you tried. Go watch TikTok pussy.

In the day of instant gratification and purchasing a lineup it’s not uncommon to want immediate results that equate to trophies. The way they played yesterday was a complete abomination. Offensively they didn’t do much to make bama off balance. Defense was as a spotty mess. Couple that with poor tackling and a TO at bad times and you see the result. So yeah it was a disappointment.

As much as that loss sucked last night, I’m going to wait and see how the rest of the season plays out before I give up. It’s difficult to believe this team still has a shot at making the playoffs, but it does.

Ok, I get that, but no one is immune to that.
LSU
$47–50 million
6-3
Ohio State
$49–54 million
6-3
Oregon
$48–54 million
6-3
Texas A&M
$45–50 million
4-5
Don’t even get me started on Florida. It’s year 1 bro.

I think you can acknowledge that this is maybe 80-85% of what a Kiffin team will eventually look like (rebuild isn’t the word), but also acknowledge that there have been opportunities missed in between the lines. And that there really isn’t a more talented team on paper in the SEC except maybe UGA?
This was a very disappointing home loss & I think it was more due to execution than direct coaching decisions. Which, at the end of the day, is a reflection of the coaching anyway.

That’s the spirit, and the Texas Bowl is fun, plus my in laws live in Houston.

Damn, I came here for the melt but this post was solid.

Argue if you want to about the cohesion of the roster, but lsu has multiple 1st round picks and several other top 100 picks on the team. This isn’t a poverty roster.
Kiffin will be able to eventually dial in the players to his system, but as far as sheer talent, he won’t have too many rosters better than this.

Except other programs seem to manage just fine. Yet here we are “rebuilding” with “roster turnover” for the seventh consecutive season.

I think execution was the main problem, but some of the coaching decisions certainly didn’t help.

A rebuild will net us the same win total as without a rebuild. What a mess.
And bench Sam. No point in playing him any more this season.
