Not sure if he has head coach aspirations…I’m sure he does. Would think he could land a gig at a smaller school after the offensive performance this year. Thoughts??

I think Sloan is more likely to leave as he will be up for offensive coord roles
Denbrock seems like the career assistant
If Denbrock were to leave you could immediately promote Sloan

Denbrock will not be as successful next year with a less mobile qb.

Denbrock will be more than fine with Nuss as the starting QB...so long as he let's him play and doesn't handcuff him with bonehead play calls like he did against Missouri. Nuss is more mobile than people give him credit for and has a super quick release.

Well, yea, great QBs make everyone look good. There is a long list of coaches that looked like turd after their star QB moved on.

To go where? I doubt he wants to be a HC at this point in his career and he knows he has a good QB for next year.

He’s an older guy so maybe he’s does not have ambitions of being a head coach?

All he wants to do is play golf. He's got it made here as long as he wants. He wont have much golfing time as HC

Who says Nuss is “less mobile”? Bc he doesn’t run a 4.4 like Jayden?

It’s not like Nuss is a Mettenberger or Jarrett Lee back there.

Denbrock is a 60+ lifetime coordinator. He's not about to jump into his first HC job.

In that sense, we're very lucky to have a guy that's probably more than happy to be a staple here for years to come.

Sloan worries me. He's gonna become a hot commodity soon and I don't want him getting poached. I'm not sure where the credit is due - half Denbrock and half Sloan? One more than the other? I just don't wanna lose either because this formula is working.

I also imagine Sloan is a huge reason for Bryce Underwood's interest in us. Don't wanna lose that.

The talent is there for Nuss, however he has HUGE shoes to fill, and we will likely take a significant step back at the most important position. If Nuss succeeds it will be because of the attribute you pointed out - a hyper quick release. That is especially useful in the short to medium throws Nuss does NOT specialize in.

In Nussmeier, they have a QB development project as big as the one they undertook to get Daniels to bomb away. Nuss needs discipline. I think they can get that done. But even if they do, Nuss has to have it between the ears. He has to be able to make the snap decisions that make this offense go, whether that be on RPOs (should be more emphasized with Nuss), Read Options (You are right that his quickness should be an asset), or just reading the defense and finding the favorable one on one.

The offensive line will not be as talented next year. RBs and WRs should be great.

Plus Nuss may get to play behind the best OL that LSU has had put on the field in quite some time!

Started the season with some fans saying that Jayden needed to be more like Nuss. Now we have to hope that Nuss does not try to be what Jayden is right now. Play within his ability.

I doubt Nuus will ever have a run over 40 yards. He just has to get the ball out quick and out of harms way, then scrabble when you have to.

He'll be 60 in a few months and he's never been a HC before. No big school is going to go after him and I doubt he's going to want to go start head coaching at a lower level at his age which would most likely be a pay cut. He also has 0 NFL experience so can't see anyone there poaching him either. I don't think he's going anywhere

Like someone else said earlier, I'm more worried about someone poaching Sloan and giving him an OC job somewhere.
