SEC duh. NIT means you like the everybody gets a trophy concept. NIT is only good to get us more experience for next year. You always play for what gives you a chance at a real title not 69th place.

The NIT sucks donkey nuts. I’d rather SECT + 1 loss in the NCAA than to win the NIT like 10 times in a row.

Is this a serious question? Win the SEC.

NIT is equivalent to a December bowl game that gives the players extra practice time. No other real meaning or significance than that.

SEC Tourney. Winning the NIT means what? You’re the 67th (or whatever) best team in he country

Do you want a date with your dream girl, or a night with an ugly woman, but you’ll get laid at the end?

This is like asking whether one would rather win a gold medal in the special olympics or win the United States championship that qualifies you to represent the US in the Olympic games.

Will take NCAA Tourney experience any day. Even if they make it and get bounced the first round, the guys who return next year would greatly benefit from that experience.

What's worth more from an experience POV, 1 and done in the big dance, or a deep run in the NIT, and playing in the MSG?

As far as media attention, even if LSU wins the first game as a 9, 10, or 11 seed, there will be a team with a bigger upset that will get most of the attention going into the weekend. The media always focuses on seeds 1-4 and a 12 or above that pulls the upset.

I can’t remember the last time I even watched an NIT game. It’s a joke.

About how many people do you expect in the PMAC next week if LSU was to host an NIT game on March 13th or 14th?

WTH?

NIT is your senior prom

Winning SEC puts us in Big Dance.

Big Dance is Dancing with the Stars. Winning a game definitely gets you screen time with the hot dancer in the eyes of recruits.

That's like asking would you like to win the SEC title and maybe make the CFB playoff? or lock up a win in the Gasparilla Bowl now?

SEC Tournament has 7 or 8 teams in the NCAA field. NIT has 0 teams in the NCAA field. SEC Tournament is much tougher to win, so I would take that even without the automatic bid to the Dance. Add being called out on Selection Sunday and it's not even close!

Who are your friends that felt the need to debate this?

This is as pointless of a debate as:

“Would you have sex with a girl if she had two vaginas?”
