Would you like if LSU added a decibel meter on the video board during big moment in games?

With a home game schedule this stacked (the best I can remember on paper in the preseason), I believe this year will be the loudest in over half a decade. Factor in Kiffin’s first year and it’s a hornet’s nest for opposing teams.

LSU should lean into being the toughest place to play and back it up with a decibel meter. Would encourage fans to be even louder to raise the meter. Positive reinforcement cycle.

Clemson will easily be the loudest since 2022 Bama, and I think later games could be even louder (A&M if we start 3-0, Bama & Texas in November)

This would be the year to add the decibel meter if they were going to.

Find the LA Gear one from across the street and suspend it from a drone

No, becasue I would rather the myth stay unresolved. When you start putting meters out there somebody else will find a way to get one more dB than us and claim some unreal title. As my Instrument Techs at work always said when we thought something was malfunctioning... "what do you want it to read?" There are no absolutes in meter measurements without rigid standards for use.

The best testament to me on things like this is the player testimonials that you hear some time later.

They're all artificially inflated anyhow.

LSU did this already a decade or so ago.

Plus, they are fake and just designed to get people to cheer louder.

We don't need those gimmicks. Just win and the stadium will be back to normal.

Decibel meters are cheeseball IMO. Better to just be loud. How loud? Loud enough to cause a problem for the visitors. Better without a statistic.

Let me know when tiger stadium wakes up and has another earthquake game.
Today’s crowds are docile compared to the bold day even though they cram 25,000 more people into the stands.

The pre-recorded Devil Music would blow up a decibel meter!

Why doesn't the Alabama game a few years ago get the same WOW factor which had 2 earthquakes registered vs the 1988 game against Auburn?
