Would you ever be in favor of two mid-week games? This week seems ideal

That’s old school I know but I noticed Ole Miss is playing on Tuesday and Wednesday. We finished vs Oklahoma on a Saturday albeit on the road, start our next sec series on a Friday, and pitched just five guys. It’s gotta be be hard for Yeskie to identify much-needed frontlines especially if we run-rule NSU

We had two weeks earlier this season where we played two midweek games. You know you can only schedule a certain amount of games each season?

Ideal??? It’s going to take three days to thaw them out!!

No... why willingly use up your bullpen before a weekend SEC series?

OP doesn’t actually follow baseball

With the new limits on rosters coming up, teams are going to be pressed for pitchers as it is.

The roster limits are bad, I bet they get tossed after a year.

I trust jay and the staff way more than people who post ideas about the scheduling on TD

I like what Georgia did. They played more of their OOC games before SEC play so they have fewer midweek games during SEC play.
Georgia played 20 of their 26 OOC before SEC play and they have 6 midweek games.
LSU played 18 of their 26 OOC before SEC play and they have 8 midweek games.
The extra rest during SEC play is nice.

Yeah but then after a week like this you go a long time without seeing guys like Ware, Benge, Schmidt, Noot etc. It's a long layoff plus you need the time to find guys who can play. I like 1 midweek game per week.
What I don't like is a road midweek (even if it's just to Thibodaux) sandwiched between trips to Norman and Auburn. That's a lot of time away from your facilities. At least in this case the Norman series ended on a saturday

It wasn't originally scheduled that way

Not a good thing each and every week. Maybe early season but not all season.

I know but we could've played the 1st Nicholls game on the road instead of this one

We have 7 straight road games in 10 days. And, you don’t think that’s enough to evaluate? They are supposed to be students as well.

In the middle of two road SEC series?

Not after SEC play has begun.
