Would they have called back the TD if Lacy had thrown the ball into the stands?

I know college rules are weird in terms of celebrations, and even though it would have been a post possession penalty, I want to say I remember they are more strict about those and they would actually negate the TD now.

All that to say, if so, props to Lacy for showing restraint.

No. It would never negate the TD that already happened. That only occurs if you celebrate before crossing into the end zone

Regardless, I’m glad he showed restraint and didn’t do it.

The team definitely cut back on the jiggilations from earlier in the season. I didn't see a single unsportsmanlike conduct flag other than the BS weeks one

I held my breath when I saw it was lacy, waiting for him to pick up a dumb penalty.

I was worried they had called a flag somewhere else, like holding. Then would it have been enforced?

Personally speaking, I appreciated Kyren’s restraint on that one.

He seems to have learned his lesson after that early season nonsense.

pretty mild showboating, just extended his arms, I know it was celebrating, but showboating is a stretch

I didn't see it as restraint. I saw it as a mic drop on Lame Kitten and the runts.

It was taunting, and didn't matter that it was before the end zone. The rule, at least that season, was that any taunting could erase a score.

Are you new to football? What would the penalty do? It’s a walk off.

The only thing they could possibly do is punish him the following week.

Figured he would bobble it, push off or do something retarded.

As usual with Lacy, it's good to wait a few seconds after the catch to celebrate.
