Take the Notre Dame approach? Obviously, it becomes a money issue one way or another, but as long as that is in play.

F Sankey and all the other current SEC AD's who want us out. That said, dont let emotions get in the way of logic. Im mad too but being locked into the premiere if not 1B conference in all of the land is nothing but a positive.

With kiffin and wade I honestly think we would be able to negotiate some solid media deals.

The problem is after they leave no one can possibly generate the amount of hate watching those two do

It would be horrible. What kind of question is this?

LSU would wither like a planet without a star.

In the words of Moneyball's Ron Washington...

It's incredibly bad.

We're a big brand. But no brand is that big.

ND isn't even the exception. If for some reason their football program ceased to exist tomorrow, the sport would carry on and nobody beyond their fanbase would really care.

Not the ND route, would probably be a bidding war between conferences for LSU. Hasn’t the Big 10 won the last few natty’s.

Conferences as governing bodies are almost done as it is. Multiple admins at P4 schools around the country have expressed that the usefulness has just about ran its course.
One non-SEC school has said they plan to package streaming content of basketball games and keep all the revenue.

Depends on how much money Netflix would give for the streaming rights to games.

Apparently Dumbassville.

I started the topic to discuss what (highly unlikely) could become a real topic of discussion.

Obviously, the benefits of being in the SEC are nearly immeasurable. Obviously, SEC schools (likely led by Ole Miss) are upset at the single year situation.

That said, if LSU is placed in a situation in which the majority or all of the schools boycott the LSU game, things could progress.

I don’t see a situation in which LSU becomes independent. More likely a difference conference in this far fetched scenario.

Crazy days though.

You know what’s funny, in this day in age I could see this happening for a season.
