Was reading this website about adding roof structures to existing stadiums.

Thought it might be something for LSU to consider. Or is this sacrilege?

Id hate a roof. Football without rain, sunlight , or a crisp fall wind just isnt football.

There is no roof to extend. If you want a new roof on Tiger Stadium it will have to built from scratch. My guess is there is a more effective way for the Athletic Department to spend 20 million dollars (or 50 million....or whatever it would cost).

People will kill you for this but if anyone bothered to open up the link it's not an enclosed dome, it's just shade basically for most seats. Not totally unsimilar to say bigger version's of what in Washington's stadium:

And let me say this, those things trap sound like crazy, there's a reason UW stadium is considered one of the loudest out there, gets a lot of help from those roof overhangs

I wouldn’t mind it for really hot mid-day games or if the weather is shitty. But when the weather is nice, I like a wide open ceiling. Is there a totally retractable roof that could work?

I have no idea what can be done about traffic. That’s probably more of a city issue.

Would parking garages be a feasible solution to the lack of parking? The question is where?

Cell data can probably be increased if they bring in portable towers, if that’s even a thing.

Some brand new multi story garages. Parking solved. The traffic that's another beast.

Of all the things the general population complains about for game day atmosphere, and this is what you come up with?

Traffic is just going to be bad because it’s 100,000-200,000 people in one place leaving at one time in a city that does not have great infrastructure to handle traffic period.

Did the LSU game here in 2009 and just did the Saints at CenturyLink. You are correct, those things make it LOUD.

I would prefer LSU did not do this to their stadium.

The Rangers just spent $1.1 BILLION building an entirely new stadium because it was cheaper than building a roof to put over the old one.

Why would a roof keep butts in seats? You offer no insight whatsoever. A roof wouldn't fix any off the issues that make people leave early.
