If they would have, the whole offense would be on an NFL team. An NFL defense would destroy any college offense.

Imagine the revolving door the current Cincinnati Bengals Oline is and multiply that by a factor of 10, maybe more. Joey B would get absolutely demolished in the NFL behind that 2019 LSU O-line.

Joe was running for his life a lot in 2019. We know that O-line wasn't very good at the time regardless of them being in the league right now. We're measuring them in college vs current NFL players. Now imagine them trying to block Aaron Donald, A'Shawn Robinson, and Leonard Floyd, or maybe Johnathan Allen, Daron Payne, Chase Young, and Montez Sweat.

Man fields looks so bad in that offense.

Well 4 of the 5 do it on a weekly basis as starters in the NFL so they must not be too damn bad.

Yes but those four aren’t the individual best on each line. Taking the weakest link of five OLs and making one out of them isn’t good.

If you reassembled that offense after each player, who made the NFL, had about three years NFL experience then they would be competitive. But as some have pointed out, we didn’t have the elite left tackle that is necessary in the NFL. If you could add one legit NFL left tackle then you’d have a very good NFL offense.

The line would be good, the QB good, the TE weak, the RB average, and the receivers would be the best in the NFL. But you’d have to add that left tackle.

That's BS. This line, outside of the game against TENN where a few were out, has improved all year and there are several times a game where qb has at least 5 seconds.

No ! Besides the interior lines, the equalizer would be speed. For the youngsters here, the College champ used to play the NFL in an annual exhibition game. The results would be the same today.

I heavily disagree, it's hilarious how people think there's this mystical fog you step through between December and August. A bad NFL team is bad. That 2019 team was very good.

I remember people saying that the 0-16 Browns team would beat LSU, which is laughable. Half of that browns team were bad players, and there was only a couple guys who were worth even anything. 2019 LSU would get stomped by a good NFL team. A bad one? LSU has a chance. A terrible one and LSU wins outright. We already know that great talent means nothing when the staff is garbage, why should that be any different between college and the NFL?

Several O-linemen from 2019 LSU play in NFL (Lewis, Ingram, Deculus). May be others...

Ingram wasn’t a starter in 2019. He started 2 games while Deculus was hurt.. can’t remember who they moved to RT.

That being said - Cushenberry, Deculus, Charles, and Lewis are all NFL starters now if I’m not mistaken. That was indeed a very talented OL and I’m not sure why people still refuse to admit it.

The only players from our 2019 roster who aren’t NFL starters are Adrian Magee and Thaddeus Moss.

The answer to OP’s question is still “no.” The NFL is extremely competitive. We may have had 9 NFL starters on offense, but every NFL team has 11. On top of that, 5 rookies on an NFL offensive line will get destroyed.

Yea but the hypothetical is based off of LSUs offense in college vs NFL teams.

The 2019 lsu offense had 7-8 legit nfl starters.

The problem is you need at least 11 legit nfl starters to not get completely crushed.

The only college team I ever saw that might have been competitive with some NFL teams was I think the ‘95 Nebraska team. It was a true power team. That beat a really good Florida team to bits for the NC.

This is a little ridiculous seeing the amount of NFL talent on LSU's offense that year. They wouldn't do what they did to college competition, but they'd be better than the fricking Bears are right now.

You have to remember that even a bad NFL team is an all-star college team. The overall defenses of every NFL team are far better than any individual college team. Even if LSU had several players drafted from the 2019 offense, how many were drafted from opposing defenses and start now in the NFL?

It is not close.

If you magically made all the skill position players their rookie year version you'd still get killed. Offensive line is not good enough, TEs are giving you nothing, and just not enough RB depth. Marshall goes from an elite third option to a guy who can't get open against CB3s.

Call me crazy, but I think St Johns Bosco could beat a D3 team at the bottom of their conference.

No. OL was not good, but you had 2 receivers who could create space within 5 yards and a shifty RB, and a phenomenal OC

Watt, Donald, Miller, etc… would have PlayStation stats against 2019 OL.
