Tennessee 05 Monday night game was miserable. Never experienced humidity like that at a game.
Oregon St because that storm snuck us coming from the east. Wasn’t ready for it and got soaked.
San Jose St game was crazy rain. Don’t remember the year.
I remember a morning game that was bad. Maybe App St.
ULM 2003 I believe right before kickoff. Got hit by a bad thunderstorm. Student section was lit during that downpour. That was a fun experience though.
San Jose St game may have been Fresno St.

At Arkansas-I think 2016
It was 13 degrees and Les Miles warmed us up with 160 yds of total offense

quote:I didn't go to that game, but that looked like the worst I've ever seen LSU play through.
but I'm nominating Tennessee 2017. During halftime and the start of the second half, it felt like we were in the middle of a tropical storm. UT even lost the ball on the kickoff because it was raining so hard.
I've seen bad field conditions, and games in the rain. I've seen TV coverage of games where you lose the ball in the fog (Bears- Eagles in the NFL, and UNC-Arkansas way back the year Clemson won in the early 80's).
Until that LSU_UT game, I'd never seen RAIN limit visibility, not in a game. That looked like when Hurricane Andrew or Katrina rolled through, at the peak.
Coach O looked right at home!

The Troy game we won by the skin of our teeth. For whatever reason, it's the coldest I've ever been in my life. Not ashamed to admit I left at a few minutes in to Q3.

Miami 1988 - the only question is which is #2.
My wife and I went to the 88 Miami fiasco with some friends who had tickets in the sheltered "Purple Section" on the west side. There was no shelter - wind blew the rain horizontal and wet everyone under so-called shelters. The wind and the rain didn't slow down Steve Walsh and his receivers. Worst game I ever sat through.

Penn state in the crap bowl. Sat through that entire game watching the field turn to mud and our team shite the bed.

2014 Music City Bowl. It was high 20’s by game end. Wife and I were upper deck, and it was cold as shite up there, and windy.
No rain or snow or anything, just goddamn cold.
LF7 ran back the opening kickoff though, and that was awesome. We obviously lost the game and that somehow made it seem colder.

The worst weather I experienced was the 91 Florida State game. I was 10. It was my first game in tiger stadium and rained a bunch. We sat near some FSU fans and my friend and I mocked their tomahawk chant all night with a thumbs down chomp. LSU led #1 FSU at the half but didn’t score in the 2nd half and lost. We went back to Monroe after the game and I didn’t bring a change of clothes. Seemed to be a 2 mile run to the car in pouring down rain afterwards.
Also there for the 04 Oregon State and 06 Fresno St. but nothing compares to that first time in 91. I was hooked!

The game in 2004 we played the Oregon beavers and Saban was coach. Almost lost the dam game. It was a miracle win in the end. It had a long lightning delay and a naked streaker on the field.

quote:OH man! I was there and it was brutally cold and wet. I remember I basically had an entire section on the west side to myself. Everybody else went back to their tailgates and hung out under their canopy tents or went home. Maybe 2000 fans in the stands when I finally said, frick it and left. I caught a really severe cold and was sick for a week.
Independence Bowl in Shreveport. 1999 or so. Froze my butt off along with a fine mist

Miami in 1988. We sat in the South End Zone and a flagpole fell down from behind us and hit my dad in the head. We were a few rows from the top of the South End Zone.
I was at that game. I remember Miami kicked the ball out of the endzone to start the game and the scoreboard where they would post little one-liners just read 'wow'.
I knew it was going to be a long night.

I’ll take the cold an rain any day over frying like an egg under the 2:30 sun in the early part of the season.
2015 aub on the east side was the worst time I ever had at a game, my son tapped out at halftime and the concourses looked like a ww2 medical tent.
Too bad bc buga went off

I was at that game. The weather wasn’t that bad. Just a little rainy.
