Corbin isn’t leaving Vanderbilt.

I truly don’t know who the best coach in college baseball is, but I don’t think it’s him. I don’t think it O’Sullivan either.

LSU needs a young coach with some fire in him, not another coach who is waiting on that last big contract before retiring.

We’re not going to drop millions to buyout a generally respected coach in a sport that makes just a small profit. You can thank Alleva for his ridiculous contract extensions.

I think he’s just going to force Maineri to reboot this coaching staff. Are we the only program in the country without a salary hitting coach?

O'Sullivan wouldn't stab Paul in the back by taking a job Paul just got shite-canned from, unless he had Paul's blessing

This program needs Dan McDonnell and a big investment into Alex Box.

I feel like schlossnagle and McDonnell are better and more realistic options anyway

McDonnell certainly. But I bet Schloss stays. No reason to leave besides wanting to play in the SEC.

Corbin uses all kinds of minority and leadership type scholarships to get kids to Vandy. Those rules don't apply at LSU, although we do have TOPS.

I don’t think Corbin would leave Vandy. What about Matt Heath? Former College of Charleston coach.

shite I’d take Willis at LSUE at this point. He’s won like 7 NJCAA Championships

Because he’s won how many more national or conference championships than Paul? Or had his National seed teams lose less often in regionals or Supers?

(Not a vote of confidence for Mainieri, just pointing out the obvious that these coaches are not miles better, if at all, than our current coach.)
