There’s a reason he stepped down less than a month before practice starts. He’s not going to be coaching anywhere if he’s leaving what he built at Auburn. I’d love an upgrade at MBB head coach but Pearl won’t be it.

Isn't Pearl's past more suspect than Wade's?
How could Woody fire the General and then hire someone that had mis steps in his previous two jobs.

Agreed.

He'd had zero reason to leave Auburn if he still wants to coach. And even if he still wants to coach, I doubt he would do so as a direct competitor of his son.

Well, we were supposed to back up the brinks truck for transfers this year because the narrative became - at least from LSU by way of Mascona - that was the problem.

Well.....didn't look like we really did.

Why because he resigned to run for the seat which Tommy Tubberville will vacate when he runs for Governor of Alabama?

He wouldn’t have handed the head coaching job to his son, if he still wanted to coach.

This is a great opportunity. If elected, he cannot possibly be considered dumber than Tuberville .

Maybe...but he's also won everywhere he's been. Including taking a program (Auburn) to a level of success it never experienced in its roughly 100 year history before his arrival. In the end, despite virtue signaling, that's ALL fans really want from a HC.

As a fan I'm not looking for my favorite team's HC to be my best friend, brother in law, agree with me politically, or even be a "nice guy". I just want him to win. Pearl did that

The only way he is back in coaching is if in 3 years his political career didn't work out and his son got fired at Auburn.

Both of those things happen...back up the Brinks

They love the guy we have. For some reason they think he walks on water. Never seen anything like it at LSU.
