A QB can have great stats but not actually do anything with it. All that matters at the end of the day is did he do enough to win the game? If he didn't do his part then the stats don't mean shite. If he doesn't win a natty than his name will dissappear. That is the point we are at now.

What’s funny is JRuss had a better record than Flynn their last seasons. JRuss- 11-2 Flynn - 10-2

Why is that funny?

This is about football, not baseball. With football having so many other talented players that can make a difference in a game, it’s simply hardcore stupid to the bone to pretend like won/loss record is a meaningful statistic to be used as the basis for QB comparisons.

You will always have to deal with bad calls. I bet you any amount of money we had games when we got calls in our favor also in 06. That team never sniffed an NC because the coach was an idiot.

I bet you, had Saban not left after 04 we would have played for a minimum of 2 more between 05 and 07. MINIMUM!!!

I think you’re missing the irony of the post. I agree with what you’re saying and pointing out that the narrative surrounding the 2 players lacks the nuance and context you’re talking about.

It’s A Flynn.

But you got to remember he didn’t start two of the games.

Rp had 694 passing with 8 tds and 2 int.

207 yards rushing and 2 tds.

So 10 total tds.

At least not yet.

I expect him to progress.

I said the same thing about Burrow in 2028 and was told that he wasn’t good enough.

Time will tell.

Whomever BK picks is who I am supporting.

This is so right. 2006 team was loaded and we got screwed at Auburn by the Refs. However we waited to late to start using our passing game and that did not help .

Got all 4 correct

Option D gave me the most trouble because I couldn’t remember roughly how many yards Rohan had. Settled on Jamarcus

he has started 4 years! burrow first start was 2018!

he is not getting to burrow levels. i doubt he gets to flynn, mauck, davey or j rock levels of DOWNFIELD PASSING AND ABILITY TO READ A D

as a matter of fact as of right nOW, he is NOT better than JJ or etling! as far as reading a D and downfield throws.

FACT! i do not expect much improvement. if kelly is fair howard or nuss SHOULD beat him out. sadly i expect 1 of those to transfer out after spring when they will see who is actually better and if they are getting a fair shot or not.

i don’t think anyone is suggesting he’ll get to Burrow levels.

just that it’s not a ridiculous notion that he’ll improve from last year to next year.
we saw glimpses mid-season that shows he can do.

I have stated that he has trouble with his progressions.

I didn’t state that he would be Burrow (but plenty of posters shite on Burrow prior to 2019).

You may be right, but I believe that he will improve (even if only marginally).

He is paid the big bucks for a reason. I will defer to his judgement. Remember, according to the board, Orgeron was “unfair” to Brennan when he chose to start Burrow.

Then adios.
