With zero leaks on DC & OC replacements, is that a good sign or bad

These DC and OC hires are the biggest Orgeron will ever make, sensing his job’s on the line. Coach O has obviously not given any hints, because this place leaks like Niagara Falls. Could be that some have been offered but minds have not been made up.

Or Coach O is still putting out feelers, seeking others opinions about his choices. The silence is definitely different from the past, very strange, not sure if that’s a good sign or bad.

They literally just made the changes to the current staff. You won’t hear about possible new hires for a while

This has been in the works for over a month. If feelers weren’t already put out and the coaching search hasn’t already been underway than I don’t know what he was doing.

I agree.

You don’t get rid of people without having potential replacements lined up. Generally

I’d say it’s a great thing. I’d even take it a step further in assuming they’ve probably already agreed to the job. Don’t see how these coordinators would be told who their positional coaches are going to be.

That would seem logical, but did Orgeron realize his budget limitations when doing so? That wasn’t leaked until now.

Well the The Advocate reported on LSU budget limitations this morning. That O getting Pelini to accept a cut in the buyout helped out to a degree.

May want to look at that again. Kubena even clarified on the radio this morning that the budget he was referencing is in relation to staff buyouts only, NOT in regards to new hires.

In other words, boosters probably told him and Woodward, "hey, we can raise X amount of dollars to buyout Pelini and whoever else you want to get rid of, but that's it; so you need to operate in that budget."

They made the changes but have been in communication

I think its a good thing because it means they are on good teams and don't want to have it fall through and not be able to return

Well coach O wanted Bo P when Aranda left last year. Maybe he's going to actually search for next DC

...except when you don't have any real prospects at the moment.

A couple of seasons ago, we didn't hear any rumors until near signing day. IMO, that was too late.
