With the SEC exposing their real feelings for LSU as of late, should we consider options?

Do you think it wise to explore other options before we are eventually pushed into a corner one day down the road and have to make a move in conference affiliation where, because of circumstances, may not be the best option for LSU?
Not saying this is something that should take place immediately, or it should ever be made publicly known what we’re doing, but perhaps just exploring behind closed doors what possible interest may be found elsewhere, just in case we actually have to?

SEC is dying.
I rather stay in the conference & LK bring us some SEC trophies for the remaining years of it

Every top 10 program in the country would be a moron to not always be doing exploratory research of their own best interest. Way too much money and control constantly at stake.

Well we do have Will Wade. I'd say no one unpack.

There are 2 options. The Big10 and the SEC
It's very doubtful the Big10 would consider us. If that's true, leaving the SEC is suicide

I say we torture them all the way to the inevitable death of the SEC and conferences in general. This is fun.

The sport is moving to conference consolidation, not dissolution.

There will be divisions, but they wont be called SEC, Big 10, etc. And the leadership will shuffle greatly.

If you’re not given a choice and that reality is thrust upon you?

If Sankey remains and big ten calls we should answer and listen

All SEC teams should hire an advisor who can be trusted to provide some insight WRT how life would be for University athletics, should the University no longer be part of the SEC: 1) because the SEC is one day defunct: or 2) the University leaves the SEC.
Nobody knows what the future holds. It is most wise to try to plan for future possible events.

Sure, but it's going to be comprised of teams in the Big10/SEC cartel
Anyone left out may as well drop to 1AA because they are dead

We do have a choice. Stop being emotional pussies and think about the best interest of the program. That's the choice

If this isn't a wakeup call to leave, I don't know what is.

This is all you keep coming on this board and saying. You are fricking pathetic.

LSU won't be left out.
The argument is for us to voluntarily leave the cartel.
How do we then re-join it?

You’ll have no choice if they ever get a 2/3 vote. LSU is out. Now what? I’d think after what we all just witnessed, having some kind of a backup plan would be something we might want to consider having. I have absolutely no faith in the SEC, and that’s obviously THE driver here, but not having another recourse doesn’t seem too smart, given the past week or so.
