With Leavitt Flaws - Best Hope for Major O.L. Improvement!

And that's Not being negative, but simply a Realist.
Many Rantards are in denial, but Sam has some serious issues. And unless you are willing to sacrifice this season, playoffs, etc......you better hope that the offensive line can suddenly improve to give Leavitt lots of time and help!
Will Sam get better? Almost certainly, but it's going to take some specialized/effective coaching, intense work & significant time to fix his issues. I have more faith that the Offensive Line + Leavitt's receivers can improve/assist him "faster" than he will for us to still have a good/great season.
Again, it's the simple truth, reality. And I think (hope) it will happen to help and give Sam the "time" he needs to make the improvements he must.

Proof, once again, that many Rantards can't read or discern the primary/main point. The operative words were Hope, Suddenly & Faster!
My post had nothing to do with "whether or if" a better O.L. would improve QB play. But that our Hope and quick need for Sam to improve will more likely come from other players around him, before he himself is able correct the rather fundamental, numerous issues he has displayed and must confront/fix.
See if you can now figure out how asinine your comments were.

Not necessarily. Until Landon Clark is given relevant/primary game time play, we don't know that for sure. If he's not given an opportunity in order to find out his upside, then I would tend to agree with you.

Not necessarily. Until Landon Clark is given relevant/primary game time play, we don't know that for sure. If he's not given an opportunity in order to find out his upside, then I would tend to agree with you.

Need to call simpler plays and get him on a rhythm. Make him realize he does not have to do it all himself.

Daniels was 8/20 80yards in a win vs Auburn in his first away game.

Its really simple: establish a run game until the LB's take their 1st step forward or hesitates to move one way or another. This takes pressure off the QB and OL to throw.

Commentary like yours is why I watch the games on mute. There are just too many unnecessary words that are not useful mixed in with some pretend coaching expert advice that is irritating and distracting to listen to

Clark would still be hampered by the OL and receivers. Clark, according to the LSU website, is 2" shorter than Leavitt. When the OL gets pushed back he will have to be much better at nailing the throwing lanes. With Clark you're "betting on the come". ¯\_(?)_/¯
I go back to what Kiffin said, after watching film: even after digging a 17-0, the hostile home crowd, Chambliss, etc. we came damn close to beating or tying Ole Miss at the end. Part of that comeback was Sam, part of the failure was Sam's missed opportunities and part was Spears injury.

If all 3 improved, we would probably be about average. Instead of 158 yrds per game, we might hit 250 - 275 per game. That might get us to 9 wins.

you may be right, johnny U, but some guys have a better knack for getting the ball out. guys shorter than Clark. BUT, i just don't expect Kiff to abandon Leavitt. So I doubt we see Clark unless Leavitt gets hurt.
