I haven't read the last 13 pages of this nonsense but I still find it difficult to believe Wisconsin will put up big numbers against us. I know their running back is good but if there's anything lsu has been good at, it's taking away opponents primary option on offense ... Tamu, Oregon, even bama recently. We've proved we can stop the run.
If we can score 17 points we will be golden

Wisconsin lacks talent at the skill positions
They have one of the best running backs in the country. And their backup is a beast as well.

Except when we can't.

This will be an epic blowout. Wisconsin lacks talent at the skill positions and they have no speed on defense.
LSU 52 Wisconsin 8
It won't be quite this much of a blowout, but LSU will win big. Something on the order of 38-17.

I'll be honest. I was more concerned about Oregon a couple of seasons ago than I am about Wisconsin. I know, I know...QB, WR, blah, blah, blah.
At the end of the day, LSU has better athletes on the field and better coaches on the sideline. I expect to win this first game in by a similar margin to that Oregon game but with a lower total score.
I took the average of LSU's last 5 margins of victory over legit debut OOC opponents and got 15, so I predict LSU by 15.
LSU 31 Wisconsin 16

Well, look at you using math and data and shite
You know there's no room for that here!

We will score that in the first half, and very possibly the first qtr.

that after the Iowa game, and based on what I have read from camp, scrimmage and the spring game, he is a great athlete who can' t complete a forward pass. I hope he proves me wrong.
i wonder what and where you have been reading ....i think so many people are so caught up on BH that they only highlight AJ's failures and are blind to Harris' failures....Ive heard Jennings has done nothing but improve in camp

Melvin Gordon would ride the pine at LSU.
Do you seriously think this? Melvin Gordon is probably the best RB in CFB right now. You can throw him in with the elite group of Gurley and Karlos Williams.

Hello, Badgers fan here. After 14 pages I think it might be a good time to clear some things up about Wisconsin. Frist let me start by saying that I think this will be a hard fought game but I expect a LSU win (home field advantage of sorts). My guess would be 4-7 pts. win on a late score.
I see a lot said about the QB situation at UW. IMO, I think that it has been a lot of smoke but not much fire in regards to a true QB comp. I think the coaches wanted to push Stave more then replace him. He did lead the team to 9 wins (should have been 10... #*@% ASU). He threw for over 20 TDs. Picks were high but not bad for a first year starter. McElvoy, the other QB, who was highly recruited as a QB, is a great athlete, so they let him compete to push Stave or give him a chance to unseat an above average QB with his running skills and play. By all indications I have read, he will not win the spot, however has shown enough to be a good backup and have some packages designed for his athleticism. So that being said I think UW does actually have an advantage at QB.
I know it is hard for you SEC fans to believe but there is talent and speed on UW roster. I truly believe the best athlete on that field will be UW's RB Gordon and it isn't close. Watch out also for RB Clement as he may be the star of the game, he is a load.
This is a good UW O-line but certainly not one its best and lacks depth which may be a problem but not in the first game I don't think. LSU O-line might be better but UWs is not a weakness by any means.
WR for Wisconsin is a bit of a ?. Three true freshman have really flashed in practice however there is some other talent there. SR. Doe is a versatile weapon and is very fast. He is a dangerous KR/PR also. The WR core as a whole IMO has no star but has more options then last season. TE will be a factor in the passing game for UW also and they have some pretty good ones returning.
Offensively, I would give the advantage to UW almost across the board except maybe O-Line is a wash.
Now for the defense... yes we have to replace most of our front 7. But we did have some nice young DL talent waiting in the wings as red shirts last year because it was such a senior laden group. NT Herring is a stud but is a bit undersized for a NT. Can he hold up? The LB core while new starters do have quite a bit of game experience at all four spots. Loss of Borland is huge but Trotter stepped up big time when Borland was hurt last year, not as large of a drop off as one would think. Two other LBs return with starting exp. also.
DB is a strength but its a mix bag, CBs are fast and they cover well but sometimes lack situational awareness(see OSU loss). The CBs may have gotten better as they were very young last season. Our safety Cuputo is very solid and stout vs. the run. The ? mark is the other safety spot, which from what I am hearing, the young S Figaro is a kid that is flashing in camp and may be a stud. LSU's D is better and has more talented athletes but UWs offense is more potent then yours IMO, so can your D keep the UW offense off the field?
Special teams for UW is fine. Good to above average punter, most likely a new Brazilian kicker that has been punching it through from 55+ consistently in practice. Doe is a weapon in the return game also. I think I would give the edge to UW here also.
Again I think this will be a very close game decided by one score. LSU is about as tough a start as we could ask for and I couldn't be happier we are playing.
On Wisconsin!!!

Dude, Gordon is a fantastic athlete, but to say it isn't close is freaking stupid.
Danielle Hunter and Leonard Fournette are as freakish as you will see on a football field from an athletic standpoint.
Welcome to the board. Please continue to post after the game.

You are really not giving Gordon enough credit. You're wrong about him.
Best athlete on the field? Idk about that. But one of the best RBs in CFB today -- right now (NOT TALKING ABOUT POTENTIAL BUT PERFORMANCE).
Yes, he is. Hell, the guy put up a Buck Forty on South Carolina the last time he stepped between the lines, my man.

I don't even know where to begin with this it is so far from reality. You sir, are woefully uninformed.
