I love Willie, but it’s a good thing I don’t take political endorsements from musicians. I’d only be able to listen to Ted Nugent and Charlie Daniels.

Maybe one of the biggest understatements of all time. Willie is one of the most prolific songwriters ever. Hell, he probably wrote 4 times as many songs that other artists charted with than what he persuading and charted with.
But not disagreeing with you KCT. He definitely had had some screwed ideas. Will say this though. I had a chance to sit and shoot the shite with him for about 30 minutes when he was in Minden filming a movie. They were shooting a scene that didn’t involve him and had Main Street shut down. I was sitting on a bench outside a barbershop waiting for them to finish so I could walk across the street to get to my truck and leave. He walked over and say next to me on the bench while I waited. Thought he was a genuinely nice guy.
