Yup plus Kelly has won big at every place he’s been. If it takes some time it may be well worth it when the ball starts really rolling

Yep. That's exactly why our pitching staff, especially our bullpen, has exceeded expectations so far this season.

You people clearly don't even listen to what the coaches say. They've been telling us since fall practice what they were working on and what to expect: pitching by committee. They told us we likely wouldn't have any "aces" and that we would rely on a lot of arms from the bullpen. That's exactly what we've been seeing. And as of a few days ago, that was good enough for 3rd best ERA in the SEC.

Preach. Kelly has been a damn magician this year.

CBK is EXACTLY what LSU needed, what LSU needs and there’s no doubt he will succeed. I didn’t think he was at first but his Actions since he’s arrived Im totally in. My first impression Good Coach, I hate ND so I hate BK, there’s No way he can recruit down here. I believe Great Coach, still hate ND, and has hired imo a excellent staff they can recruit anywhere. We will ascend back to Top of The SEC in 3 years. He is not the same as I thought at first. To me I’m pleasantly surprised and I’m full of confidence. SW thumbs up. He will win at LSU and still depends on how long lil Nikki will thrive, Kelly has got 10 years on him hopes he gets all 10.

Well yes because I am not a delusional moron who doesn’t realize the fact that both the baseball and football programs were left in bad shape. Now we can add basketball to the list.

LSU will return to the stadium next weekend to finish spring practice. Though there’s more information to come on the format, Kelly confirmed LSU will go offense vs. defense, awarding points for stops or first downs. The roster is too thin to scrimmage with separate teams.

“As much as I do not like that version of it, for many reasons, it’s the best way to create a competitive situation for our team,” Kelly said. “We would have to put ourselves in some compromising situations.”

Lsu football doesn't have a 1/3 of the team talent that the baseball team does...over half the baseball team will be drafed top half of the draft the next two years.

I don't expect him to compete for the SEC West this year. I'll be more judgemental in years 2 & 3 due to the transfer portal. You don't have to rebuild a roster from HS kids anymore

Does he have enough players for a regular scrimmage or no?

Silly question. Brian Kelly took over a team that played walkons and scout team guys in the bowl game and a program that has little to no organization, zero accountability and a toxic culture.

He and the staff have installed organization, changed the culture and created expectations and demands of accountability.

Additionally he has remade the roster thru portal and NSD.

Will it translate to Wins immediately? Not sure but Kelly is a hall of fame coach that has won everywhere he has been.

He will win at LSU. We won titles with Les and O. Kelly will get at least one.

Most LSU fans get that. Are there a handful of rantards that may not or do not? Sure. But too often folks read the board and see a few posters posting over and over and it’s assumed that means that many fans feel the same it’s not true.

As for Johnson yeah I’m a bit disappointed. I thought the pitching would be better and I thought we could catch and throw. So far we can’t.

It’s early. I believe we will improve and be competitive when the regionals and supers arrive.

Too early to give up on Johnson and most fans have not.

How many players are “required” for a regular scrimmage? Who decides that? Is it the same for every team in the ncaa?

How many people were used the last few years for the scrimmage?

The head coach says they don't have enough players for a regular scrimmage. But, go ahead and call people dumb for saying the same thing.

Sounds like that’s just his excuse to not have to do the scrimmage.

Aren’t there like 60+ on the roster?

Kelly and Johnson were handed two completely different situations.

All the people expecting Kelly to have a slow start are going to be disappointed. He will succeed straight out of the gate. People really don’t understand what a cancer Orgeron was to LSU.

It's just not that easy.

Everyone has been very patient with Johnson. Let's see Johnson has been on lsu campus for bout 9 months or so now and I would say that's plenty time to get to know the guys of what they can do and what their strengths are, that's patience but to have 12 losses in just a few short weeks?? Ummm dude he gotta figure it out some how or he won't last long. The defence sucks and pitching and batting ah its OK but needs improvement. I can't figure out how lsu got the no.1 recruiting team for this season for baseball and have that kinda record. Good coaches f9gure it out, will he figure it out or crawl in a corner and turn the other way like Joe Biden always does?
