Yes we have officially fired him

If you don’t believe LSU isn’t a special place to be a part of then you just don’t get it. From lane kiffin to now the general just up and leaving programs to come coach for the fighting tigers of LSU… that speaks volumes

Why in the world would we want a crook back, guess character doesn't mean much at LSU anymore.

I'm not crying .. something in the air.

This is great news. Wade was railroaded when he was at LSU last time. He is a great coach. Hopefully he will do great things at LSU.

I was called every name in the book for saying that when Scott was let go...Mallet was doing work behind the scenes and he would get Lane and Wade if he has his way and the AD & governor better fall in line.
well here we are ladies and gentlemen...
I dont make predications often but if I do....

People often wonder what generates a sustainable advantage in the NIL era besides money.
I know it’s kind of hackneyed, but honestly, a true love for a place and a culture seems like a good bet.

So many threads for months I wanted to bump but couldn't
This has been in the works for a while. Glad it's finally happening. Good luck to McMahon. Good dude but terrible coaching job at LSU.

When so many people have your back, it’s hard not to consider them family.

Agreed, this one is personal. He should have never been fired to begin with, and so many of the fans still stuck with him. I’m just thrilled he’s coming back.

Surely Freek will "un-retire" and bring forth some excellent gifs with all the coaching changes.

You are right. He should have never been fired with such suspicious and paltry evidence that the NCAA brought.
He was the victim of a woke AD that cared more about his own image than what was right for the school, the program or the coach and it shows the character of Wade to brush it all off and return to the program that attempted to cut his balls off.
He is 'the man'.

Don't think for a second the feeling that in some way he came out on top in all of this isn't an ego boost that played a big role in his return. In the 4 years that have passed he went on to quickly have great success at McNeese, get a power conf. job at NC State, then return right back to the same place that he didn't want to leave...while the people in change in 2022 were all bumped out because they didn't support him and the coach they tabbed to replace him was awful.
Regardless of what you think of him as a coach, person, etc. Will Wade has proven the ability to make relationships that made him more powerful than the (former) school president and AD.
