Wade would probably tell you that his biggest mistake was initially lawyering up and refusing to meet with the LSU admin when the whole mess started back in the Sweet 16 season.
I think he took advice from Bruce Pearl who basically did the same thing at Auburn.

Was in the wrong AND did not cooperate in the process. Had poor legal representation
Is that why the IRAP exonerated him of all the major allegations?
You need to look up the word exonerated.

Not a Will Wade fan at all, but I really admire what he said here. If he truly believes it, good on him for growing as an adult and gaining insight. If the events that led to his hosting at LSU have allowed him to come to this point, God bless him.

if the USSC ruled that prohibiting players from receiving compensation for NIL is unconstitutional
Which case handed that ruling down? Please enlighten us.

Prick vitale, gay Bilas, Mark Emmert, Pat forde, Greg WOKEN, and everybody else that piled all over Wade for the LSU situation, AND anyone else involved in major college sports knows that EVERY SINGLE TOP RECRUIT has been bought by everybody (including puke and the great John wooden), for at least the last 60 years.
The hypocrisy is thick with any holier than thou article or comment directed negatively towards Wade.
He was simply doing what he had to do to try to compete with all the other CHEATERS in college basketball. You can argue he wasn't smart about it. Dale sure was. Maybe things have changed in regard to "covering your tracks" since the Dale days. Or more likely, LSU was becoming a serious threat for the first time since Dale, and certain people (possibly the FILTHY NCAA included) weren't having that.
I also believe that our administration enjoys projecting the image of compliance more than some of our competing schools who give ZERO FLUCKS about how they "appear" in that light. Just win, motherjumper, and our administration desperately needs to implement this mindset.
It's hysterical that anyone can believe this is true contrition on Wade's part. He is simply doing what he has to do to set himself and NC st up for being able to compete with once again, ALL THE OTHER CHEATERS.
And yes, I think it's reasonable to conclude that even in this NIL era, there's still plenty of money being passed around under the table ILLEGALLY to these elite recruits. Does it make sense that all of these schools/boosters are just completely toeing the line and obeying rules all of a sudden? Of course not.

Dude, this is the rant. People don’t want to hear the truth. Interferes with sense of righteousness.

Good grief. So he's a liar now to justify your narrative. Wow

tPear is a good dude and wish him all success at NC State. I hope he tears it up there

Bro, why are you so triggered. Got damn

It may take that "little extra" under the table to get certain recruits. Cash is also very hard to trace if laundered well enough.

I thought Wade did nothing wrong and Woody fired him for no reason?
Posted on 4/19/25 at 2:38 pm to DrrTiger
What's really sad is that from now on, LSU will be a part of his career he is ashamed of and won't talk about, even though it was a place that really loved and supported him. It will always be one of the saddest parts of LSU basketball history.

I don't think anybody thinks that, but was exactly was his penalty again?
