I never really got my hopes up simply because LSU just looked like they didn't care to be there
This is the part I can't wrap my mind around.
This was the goal the team had all year. The accomplished an unbelievable task going undefeated.
LSU was playing for it all in Louisiana.
It was like once they got in the game, they relaxed. Getting there was the goal- winning, well... just hard to understand what happened.
I can handle a loss- but not one in which we didn't compete.

Since you had to post one more , I guess it's not going to stop........

Don't think it will ever die. The only way it would have died was if we won. With a NC at our finger tips..
Now all Tiger fans will always wonder WHAT IF...
Also if Mett plays well next year then people will start with the "Why didn't Mett Play in 2011"

The thing that gets me was that the pro JJ fans steadfastly maintained that Miles knew more than us "dumb" fans and would never put favoritism or whatever it is that prevented Lee or anyone else from seeing the field, in front of winning the BCS.
Now what? it would seem as though most fans, Bama included and almost all media are sitting there shaking their heads wondering WTF is up with your QB's and coach.

I read some rumors on here yesterday about the players just not caring, having to play Alabama again. I find that hard to believe, but it certainly looked like it.
Well, I'll still give props to the defense. Even though they weren't prepared for what Bama came out with, they still played really well considering the offense put them on the field WAY too much.

no they just blame the OL (who didn't have a good game) and say no QB could have succeeded

There was not one point in that game where I thought we were in it
We were out of it from the coin toss on down...
Question - did Tyrann go out to midfield for the coin toss? It looked like he started out from the sideline, then stayed back a few yards with a couple of referees - I don't recall seeing him shake hands, etc. with Alabama players at midfield...

no way
our D played their asses off in spite of being out-schemed by Bama's OC

Why does a hippie Stanford fan care, anyways?

No doubt.
They weren't lights out like they had been, but they did more than enough to keep us in the game.
At some point, the D had to give up since the O wasn't going to allow them to breathe.

Its dead. The 2 are not eligible. Can never wear the purple and gold again!! Unless JJ becomes Qb coach..

Holy crap...
I said it before the SECCG, that my wish was that both of these QB's would have some kind of finish that would vindicate them and their careers but I was afraid that the opposite would happen. And it did. Both were used (and not used) in a way that totally makes everyone forget about the decent play both had at times.

There was one play where Mingo made a great tackle for a loss, and when he was walking back to the huddle, there was this look of determination and defeat at the same time. Man, I hated it for those guys. Their twitter apologies sucked as well.

It's true we will never know for sure. But bama was overall just on another level the other night. They had us beat in all facets of the game not just on offense. Looking at all past history of the two qb's, neither were going to be good enough to carry us to victory the other night without excellent play from special teams and defense. We obviously didn't get that.
The debate will rage on but it is really silly considering how below average both of the quarterbacks are. I understand the debates that go on with Russell and Flynn, keiland vs Scott vs Hester. But this debate is just arguing failure.

And took every snap of both of those games, except for a last second kneel down.
That one td pass was a pass thrown to the fullback that didn't even cross the line of scrimmage.

for how badly they dominated LSU, it was a 2-score game until the middle of the 4th quarter
2-3 big plays in say, the 3rd, changes that game (which is a big credit to our D considering how bad our O was)
we don't know how bama would have responded had we punched them in the mouth once. it made a big difference on 11/5/11

well i don't think lee is awesome, but he played awesome until JJ took over. look at his efficiency stats
