Of fan expectations?

As we all know, LSU is a premiere job…when you’re winning.

But LSU isn’t Ole Miss or Florida Atlantic or even USC when it comes to expectations. LSU isn’t building statues for simply making the playoff.

There’s a tremendous amount of pressure that saw both Coach O and Kelly flameout. I’ve heard many fans say…it’s okay if he leaves as long as he wins a National Championship.

Thoughts on how well or poorly Kiffin will deal with it long term?

Yeah the loss sucks and all but I’m sitting here wondering if we got Les (Lane) Miles and that scares the shite out of me. Now that doubt percentage is like 2% but that 4th and 1 punt is going to haunt this fanbase until we run into a similar situation.

I really can't tell if Kiffin is in over his head or not. He seems to want these big challenges but also looks completely depleted when things don't go as planned.

If we go 7-5, wouldn’t surprise me if he jumps to Southern Cal or the NFL. That’s just Kiffin.

These people are goddamn idiots who crowed he’d be here 20-25 years and be the next Saban.

It’s a question I have wondered myself. He is an older and probably wiser man now though. He has way more conservative this year than he has ever been in the past. I expect him to start throwing caution to the wind the rest of the way. If he does this I think that will help him tremendously dealing with the strain.

If we went 7-5 why would USC even want him?

Plus he's not jumping again. He knows this is his last opportunity to prove to everyone that he's an elite coach. He has to have success here to even get another big job.

Maybe we should dial back those expectations, given that we haven’t made a playoff in about 8 years.

Kiffin has taken more criticism than any coach I can think of. A lot of it justified, a frick ton not warranted at all.

He’s handled all of that pretty well.

I see no reason to think this will be any different for him.

I do think he is coaching a little tight. Not unexpected given the firestorm that brought him here and the way things have played out.

He’ll get that Ol Ball Coach vibe back as he continues to settle in to this new situation.

Agreed, but when you see the resources invested it’s kinda hard to.

Although I will say it seems that the same teams rhat were winning prior to NIL, are still winning.

Idk if it’s just fan expectations.

People on Twitter and in sports media act like he’s Hitler. I’ve never seen anything like it.

I wouldn’t be like entirely shocked if the general pressure and negativity breaks him.

I actually worry for the guys safety when these fans storm the field and run up to talking shite. Hell, even his former players did it.

$20M for all the coaches
$40-$50M for all the players
A fanbase who bought in from day 1

Losses to KY and a depleted OM and we’re the retarded ones?

agreed, still think we are about to enter a golden era with him. Figured we would be a 3 loss team this season but could very well be 4-5 now. I don’t think anyone was expecting a title this year and we knew there were going to be some growing pains but didn’t expect to lose a game by playing too conservative. That will turn the fanbase just as quickly as losing

I would not worry about it. He’s here to stay until either the contract is up or he leaves for greener pastures. We need to finally accept that a coach is here for the long haul and just hope that continuity of the job, roster, coaches moves in a positive direction year after year.

Look at 2027 schedule. It’s not that bad. Also, not going to have near as many holes to fill via the portal and depth will continue to pile up as long as we can keep guys around.

You guys are funny thinking throwing money around will win everything 100% of the time.

And then conveniently forget that Kelly buried this whole culture and team in the ground last year

AND we've lost multiple key position players particularly in places kiffin told you before the season was weak.

I swear you guys just swim in negativity in real life
