They are buds from back in the day?

Not that he could get him, but he's definitely shopping to replace his DC

Maybe, but kind of really don’t care at this point, maybe better suited for Big 12 in all honesty...He does seem to be recruiting better, but what he’s making is huge for a DC, and we will be competitive at that price range IMO..

Aranda is being recruited by Hermensa? I wouldn't think he has any eligibility left.

Aranda doesn't like the way he kisses, so NO!

If they want to pay his ungodly buyout for going within 500 miles of LSU then let them go for it. We'll have enough money to hire who the hell ever we want with it.

Why would he go leave to work with a coach on the hot seat and could be out of a job within a year?

If it Turns Corey Raymond into our DC... I'll gladly thank aranda for his service, but be super stoked.

I still feel that Orgeron is going to handle this Les Miles style. He won't fire him, but encourage him to take this first good offer he sees.

Texas has the money.

Aranda isn't going anywhere.

I'm prone to agree, but I keep going back to:

- Aranda wasn't Orgeron's hire

- Minus the raise I'm sure Orgeron is about to get, he doesn't make that much less

- Aranda's defenses have gotten worse ever year he's been here.

- Orgeron has shown recently that he's willing to make whatever changes to better the team.

This defense is problematic and worrisome, and Ed and Dave have probably had a lot of heart-to-heart talks about what's going on and what needs to be done. One way or another, the defense is going to get addressed in a big way.

I think UT would have to pay LSU either $5mil or $7.5mil to steal Aranda from us. I do not see any school paying LSU that kind of money.

Primarily bc teams aren't lined up asking for his services (and his associated salary).

Almost any coordinator
Making 2.5 million is overpaid

Venerable deserves that much, and of Brady does this again next year he deserves that much.

So it’s hard to justify paying anyone over 2.5 million when really Defense ends up being more about Jimmy’s and Joe’s at the end of the day.
