Will Chaisson have a Key-like Sophomore year?

Seemed to be in the backfield more often than not during the spring game. Not sure if that’s due to him or the OTs he went against. Think he’ll have a breakout season this year?

Everything I've read and heard said that he is poised for a big time season. Kid has all the tools and now has a year under his belt. Can't wait to watch him this season.

Chaisson was my favorite get in that year’s class.

He looked incredible in the Spring game. Aranda loves to send him on blitzes and with his athleticism, that's going to be fun to watch.

I almost hope, not quite as good. I'd prefer him get consistently better with him peaking around bama his Junior year. Key was too good too quick and couldn't handle having to do it another year before getting paid.
Now if he could be at Key-like Sophomore year and go up, that would be the best of both worlds. But that's a lot of pressure on a fairly young man.

That's a lot to ask. I think he will be much improved, but not live up to that standard just yet. Unlike Chaisson, Key was a significant contributor his Freshman year. You could tell Chaisson was a bit overwhelmed. However, if the spring game is any indication, it looks like Chaisson is starting to feel more comfortable. Hopefully that translates into the season, because right now the middle of the defense looks very strong. If LSU can get some heat off the edge, this could be one of the better defenses in the last 5-6 years.
