At this point Will Blackwell just seems like a gigantic whiny pussy.

There is no doubt, 1/9/12 was a product of horrendous coaching. Thank God Miles is gone.

Yep. He bitches about this like every 6 months. You'd think he had a 4 TD Al Bundy performance go to waste the way he talks, not shite on like the rest of the team.

To some extent, yes. But I can understand the frustration of a former player from that team may have after watching LSU reinvent their offense this year and absolutely dominate college football en route to a national title. Those guys feel cheated their HC didn't give them a chance to win the NC in 2011.

Lost in the excitement of the win in Alabama was the reality that LSU was pretty lucky to win that game. If it wasn't for the tremendous effort of the defense (and Bama's inability to make FG's) LSU doesn't win, because the offensive approach absolutely sucked...again. Lee was an absolute terrified mess in that game. Jefferson's ability to run was the ONLY thing that gave LSU just enough offense to get 9 points.

Case in point. LSU gets a big pass to Shepard with less than 1 minute to play to get LSU down to the 8 yard line. Rather than really trying to take advantage there and go up 7-3, Les went into his ultra risk averse shell and happily settled for a FG to end the half.

Later, LSU intercepts a pass in Bama territory. Trailing 6-3, LSU is in a great spot to try to take the lead. But, good ole Les, runs the ball three straight times from the Bama 33 to, again, happily settle for a FG and the tie.

ANYONE with a brain knew that same game plan wasn't going to work the second time around. Bama missed FOUR FG's in the first game which gave LSU just enough space to win. That was unlikely to happen in the BCSCG. But the ever stubborn Les refused to change is risk averse approach. It had to be frustrating for the players, particularly the OL, to continue to essentially keep unsuccessfully smashing their heads into a brick wall while their coach flat out refused to acknowledge it wasn't going to work.

Thanks for posting. Every little bit helps when trying to get over that catastrophe.

One of the greatest teams in ncaa history scores zero in the title game.

It was a product of Blackwell and his pals on the oline not bothering to show up. Watch the game again. Bama d line lived in the backfield all night.

Did you see Lee in the first game vs. Bama? He was awful. In the second half he picked up a poor snap and just out of sheer terror flung the ball directly to a Bama defender.

Lee was 3/7 for 24 yards and two awful INT's. I don't think there has ever been a LSU QB more afraid of contact that him. He would start ducking to run away from contact AS he was throwing the ball. Lee makes NO DIFFERENCE WHATSOEVER in the BCSNG

It’s an interview. He was asked questions, and he answered them. Jesus.

And they sought him out because he's been crying about it on social media for years.

I’m sorry but it was 9 fricken years ago. MOVE THE FRICK ON! When the question is asked the answer could easily be short and sweet with a subject change.

If this past year didn’t heal the wounds nothing ever will and he comes off as a GIANT crybaby because of it.

When you battle equal or better talent you better be able to scheme to your advantage.

You know this.

You could say the same about '18 vs Bama. But it was amazing how much our OL Improved when the offense morphed.

Blackwell trashing his coach says a lot about the character of Blackwell. Really bad look Will. They beat y’all arse, and Lee would not have changed that.

That video just reminded me of how much of a fricking idiot Les Miles was. He wasted one of the greatest defenses in LSU history. What a debacle that game was.

Im asking what Blackwells opinion was.

I agree Lee’s entire career VS Alabama was an abomination statistically.

24/58 316 yards 1 TD 7 Int

He had thrown as many TDS to Alabama as LSU.

3 downvotes? Wow....I really hope these people aren't suggesting they'd rather Miles.
