Les miles rosters were also stacked with NFL talent and he was winning 9 a year. Give Kelly some better talent to work with before we collectively say he can’t win it all.

The #2 recruiting class.
Maybe right now, but if what Speigleman said yesterday is true I wouldn't count on it staying that way!
We may lose some players before eNSD; we may gain some players. I'm not going to sweat it. I like where we are now, and I'm confident that I'll like where we end up. One or more linemen are going to make or break this class or LSU.

10 wins doesn’t mean as much when you play 14 and 13 games a year. The guy loses 3 to 4 games per year. That got Les Miles fired and he won a natty.
Fat and stupid is no way to go through life.

Ten-win seasons did not get Miles fired.

He went 8-5 in 2014.
He went 9-3 in 2015.
He went 4-2 in 2016.

keep in mind Les nor O nor Nick had NIL to help them reload while trying to recruit and rebuild.
If I had to choose one thing that boggles my mind it would be how can our coaching staff be so unprepared for our opponents that have defeated us. Clearly we have talent on par with them - we we simply got out coached by three coaching staffs

And two of the three losses were not even close

What would you call the USCe game before Sellers was injured? Down by 24 with no answer for the QB.

You mean the game we won in the road against a team that’s in the top 25?

Also their QB had 1 long run.

Is 10 wins the standard by which you judge success?

Well, from Nick Saban (2000) through last season, this program has averaged 9.2 wins per season.

If you want to say out last 2 games have been a disaster i won’t disagree, but currently we’re a good not great team.

Last 2 games were a disaster.

I don’t care about 10 wins, or 9 wins, bowl this, championship that.

The standard is the team on the field - how they play, do they compete, do they hit hard, run hard, play like an excellent football team.

This team, right now, does not. That’s not because “talent”, or “cupboard bare”, or any of this other bullshite.

It’s because the team, as a group, is not playing at a high level. Not performing well on the field. Not hitting people. Not running hard. Not competing to win against teams that they should be able to beat.

THAT’S the standard.

They could win every game- if they play like shite, they suck. If they win 4 games, but they’re a nasty arse team that the rest of the conference doesn’t want to face, then they’re awesome.

It’s how they play - not 10 wins.

This fanbase is packed full of emotional, reactionary women who think the grass on the other side is always greener.

It's pathetic.

Exactly. The sky is not falling. Things are looking up actually. There’s way too many emotional, unreasonable people on here who act like little girls.

So you are advocating FOR moral victories now?

Kelly gets as long as he wants to be LSU coach. He’s earned it. He’s the bees knees.

Yes. LSU does not win that game if Sellers stays healthy.

Lucky to have beaten Ole Miss as well.

Moral Defeats are a cool LSU invention.

And A&M and USC were lucky to beat LSU.

That goes both ways.

I still love this new narrative. Kelly Bashers have started a whole new narrative that doesn't count bowl games.

It's ingenious. Let's not count a game against a Power 4 team with a winning record.

Never mind that they would bitch to high heaven if LSU lost a bowl game.

Never mind that they are happy to count the creampuff game that other teams open their season with.

Arkansas opened with UArk (Pine Bluff);

Auburn opened with Alabama A&M;

Kentucky opened with Southern Miss;

Ole Miss opened with Furman;

Miss State opened with Eastern Kentucky;

Missouri opened with Murray State;

Oklahoma opened with Temple;

USCw opened with Old Dominion;

Tennessee opened with Chattanooga

Again, It's ingenious.

But it's also completely disingenuous.

Kelly has lost all 3 season openers since he has been here. That tells you that he is unable to prepare the team from the off-season to the 1st game. His teams remind me of Les' teams. They are undisciplined and no fire. Kelly's team is 105th in penalties this year with 7 a game. How many of those penalties have cost LSU? LSU loses that South Carolina game if Sellars plays the whole game. We had the Heisman winner last year with 3 losses and could have won the NC if not for them to have the worst defense LSU has ever had. Kelly is not a fit here. I said that when he was hired but was willing to give him a chance. We will see how he finishes the season.
