No one. Please tell me you're using the SEC site, which doesn't list half sacks.

Lewis has 6, while missing a game. Davidson has 5.5

How many sacks did he have vs us last week?

Who? The guy in 2nd place? He had none. 4.5 of his 5.5 sacks have come against the two worst teams on their schedule. Arkansas and Kent State.

A team with a single edge rusher doesn't really scare me cuz we will just chip him all game and if you aren't paying attention, Moss is a NASTY chip blocker.

I mean, you want to compare stats between Bama and Auburn, but just ignore the difference between the teams they faced. That's very ignorant.

The only thing that's ignorant is acting like Alabama isn't a very talented football team, including on defense, all of a sudden.

Hopefully Bama's D "works" well enough for them to lose too.

He will absolutely be a factor. I'm sure LSU will be giving the tackles help with him.

Hopefully it "works" much worse. If LSU is held to 23 points it's unlikely they win this game.

The issue there is Shane Lee and Anfernee Jennings can also rush the passer pretty well.

I don't think anyone's saying this. What is being said is that we have seen more dominant lines than Alabama this year.

I suspect that they will use their corners to play press coverage. They will try to disguise what the safeties and LBs will do until post snap forcing JB9 to make his read later. The O-line must allow 0 pressure with 4 rushers forcing the gumps to blitz creatively. Maybe then JB9 and his host of fleet receivers can burn them.

What will the LSU defense have for the gump offense?

Okay, man. You are clearly rustled, so I'm just going to try and help you here before I leave this thread.

Starting a reply with that just makes you look obnoxious.

I didn't read the entire thread, but I haven't seen anyone say that. People seem to be making some good points about comparing the Auburn and Alabama defenses.

No one is arguing this. What is being argued is Alabama's linebackers and secondary are better.

Your argument was that people have said something before, and it was wrong, so it is probably wrong again. Just think about that for a minute.

Continue your clowning.

It actually makes since since you were one of the posters who argued that O could never be successful at LSU because of his history at Ole Miss. Sheesh.

People have been saying it all year.

Saying Bama's defense isn't as bad as people make it out to be is "clowning".

I guess I was "clowning" when I did the same thing when people were melting down about LSU's defense as well.

While it is a long shot, Bama could lose to LSU and to Auburn. It all depends on Bama's offense when they play Auburn.

I think Bama's offensive line is worse than LSU's on the interior. I can definitely see Auburn giving them a very good game because of that.

LSU has been averaging close to 50 points a game. If they score within the first five minutes, I doubt all of the gumps will be thinking sarcastically. They’re going to be thinking ”oh shite”.

Bama Olbs are better but Auburn's inside backers are better

Bama's corners are better but safety and nickels are about equal

Bama's OLBs are definitely better, but I disagree with the 2nd point. Bama's MLBs are young, but they're getting better each week and are very talented.

So Bama's secondary is better?

I think you have posted this enough times now.

Also I think it's easier to scheme around really good OLBs and corners than it is to scheme around dominant interior d-linemen and inside linebackers like Auburn had.
We won't be rushing around the edge very often against Bama, and we will scheme to protect Burrow from edge pressure.

No one is expecting Bama to be an easy game as long as they recruit as well as they have for the last decade. This thread is about the relative weakness of their defense compared to past years and the current Auburn team.
With our offensive scheme and production, even against that Auburn defense, there is reason to hope this year will be different.
