How many years of no one wearing this number will it be considered just another number? Seems like they are trying to purge the recent history of #7. When will it reach a point where an incoming freshman can pick up the number without people thinking anything of it.

The best player in the country wears No.7, i'm not sure what you're referring to. :)

Will Campbell is a projected top 3 pick and likely the best tackle in the country. What are you talking about?

I think its pretty inarguable that every player after Fournette that wore 7 had a decline in play the season they wore it. BK shifting the meaning of the "tradition" from the flashiest playmaker to the best Louisiana born player has cleansed it imo.

When it went to the "playmaker" I think it put pressure on the guy wearing it and put a target on the player for other teams. Now all it does is honor a Louisiana born player. We will know for sure once Will Cambell is gone and we see who it goes to next and how they play.

DJ Chark was good. Delpit was fine, just not as good as his sophomore year. Chase & Stingley years were weird because of covid and injuries. Giles was the only real mistake imo. This strange thing to post anyways when the current #7 is going to be a top 5 pick.

Should’ve just gone back into rotation after Fournette. Single digit numbers usually end up in skill players hands and 9/10 they’ll end up a playmaker at LSU.

Just give out captains patches if you want to assign leaders.

Patrick Peterson wore number 7. When PP7 left he handed the number 7 to TM7 and there dam sure wasn't a let down in play. Infac TM7 was a Heisman finalist as a defensive back

I will never understand why they spent an entire season trying to force the ball to him when he flat out wasn’t good or interested or in shape and his backups were excellent

the sooner they just throw it to a freshman kicker and say to hell with it, the better.

I used to get slammed for saying the same thing, but you're absolutely correct.

"Here's this number. Now go be perfect."

I swear to God if I see one more thread about 7 and 18, I will shoot my dog.

Who the hell cares. Let’s play play a game and then talk about what happened in the game. Everything else is a circle jerk.
